4th of July Parade?

Is there a special parade at DL for July 4? We are planning on braving the crowds to see the fireworks that day.

We were just there last 4th of July. I don't recall that the parade was any different but they did have special fireworks. They did the fireworks on the 3rd and the 4th. It was a good show but we were a little disappointed that it was relatively short. We found a last minute spot where we could peek out from behind a post on Main Street so we didn't wait very long. I heard some people complaining that they waited for hours to see a 10 minute show.

DD & I will be there *for her B-day* over the 4th of July weekend ~ reports from last year are that it wasn't too bad ~ fingers crossed for the same thing this year **all blockable APs are blocked the entire weekend

There is no special parade on the 4th of July (at least there wasn't last year). Aside from the fireworks, the only other thing they did was a very nice Flag Retreat Ceremony that seemed longer than the usual one.

While the parks were surprisingly not crowded during the day last year, the evening was a very different story. I've been to Disneyland a few times during large crowds, and easily the most crowded I've ever seen Disneyland was the evening of the 4th of July last year. They announced that all available viewing spots for the fireworks along Main Street were full and that guests would need to go to Small World for additional viewing. Later they announced that the 9:00pm Fantasmic was also full and that guests would need to see a later show (and this was before Murphy showed up).

Hello all. This is my first time posting on DisBoards. I work in Entertainment at Disneyland. Unfortunately There isn't any special 4th of July parades at the resort unfortunately. Just lack of room backstage. But, the fireworks and flag retreat ceremonies are unique to this day.
