4th of July in MK

Yes......be sure to be in the park prior to lunch and don't leave or you may not get back in. The Magic Kingdom has closed due to capacity for the last several years in a row.

I would view them from the beach, either at Poly or GF. There is no way you would get me into that crowd, especially when it's 90 degrees. Good luck to you though with whatever you decide!

You can watch them right in the Castle forecourt. You just have to get there 6 hours before the fireworks begin and not plan on leaving until 3 hours after they are over. It helps to draw a circle around the area you stake out in chalk or lay out towels on the ground to mark your territory. You can do what dogs do...but that'll probably get you tossed out.

We were there last year. However, we did not go to the park on the 4th. We went on the 3rd instead, since they showed the 4th of July fireworks also on the 3rd. The firework show was, in my opinion, beautiful. Worth seeing. We thought about going to the Poly beach to watch the display, however, reading some things on these boards, I got the impression that since it was such a busy time of the year, they really cracked down about turning people away from the Poly if you were not a resort guest. So, you might want to check into that more if you are thinking of watching them at the Poly.
