4th of July Fireworks

I read one place that the 4th of July fireworks are on the 3rd and the 4th. Another says no fireworks on the 3rd. So what is the real story?

Last year we got lucky and got like a week of the special fireworks. Not sure what the reason was. Anyway enjoy they are awesome
