4th of July Fireworks

This year will be our first 4th of July in WDW and I am really looking forward to the fireworks. We've seen WISHES from behind the castle and was thinking of doing the same for this - less crowded maybe.

That's where we'll be on the 3rd. The show is different than Wishes and a lot less dependent on being right in front of the castle for the best view.

We know it'll be crowded but since we go quite often we don't have the "must see everything" going on. Can take it easy. Use my FP's and enjoy.
It was my Dad's fave time to be there and since he passed away last August I feel the need to go for him this year.

As for time, last I saw was 9pm for the fireworks on the 4th. Now I'm going to have to go back and find where I saw that. Odd its not on WDW site yet.

We arrive on the 4th for a 10 day trip. I was able to get BTMRR at 7-8, SDMT 9-10, and Anna/Elsa for 11:30-12:30 on the 4th. Even though it was late and they were great fp+ options I was worried about it being completely insane crowd wise? We go often but have never been on the 4th. Will it close to capacity if we don't try to get to the park until early evening?

It will be insanely crowded, and MK will most likely close by 10am due to capacity (it did last year) and will not open back up. My guess is that it being on a Friday this year, it will be busy early in the other parks as well.

We watched from Epcot one year on the 4th and we saw Epcot's show and then behind the american adventure we saw DHS's show as well. Was pretty cool. This year we will watch the 4th fireworks from the WL beach as that is our arrival day.

I was in MK last year for the 4th of July! It was insane! I've never seen so many people! That said....I'll be doing the 4th of July again this year! But this time I'll be attending the Tomorrowland Terrance Desert Party to see the fireworks! Sitting at a relaxing table eating my sweets waiting for the show to start instead of being squished on Main Street with 100 000 people like I was last year sweating to death sounds so much better to me! The party is at 8pm and the fireworks are at 9pm!

I was in MK last year for the 4th of July! It was insane! I've never seen so many people! That said....I'll be doing the 4th of July again this year! Very jealous, I wish I would have planned ahead enough to do that!
