Didn't know where to post this. We are in Florida now and are wondering where is the best place to watch fireworks on the 4th. Thinking of going to Downtown Disney but not sure how that is going to be. Anyone have any advice? THanks!!!

I was trying to find info about DTD but this was all I could find so far:

Walt Disney World’s fireworks shows might be designed to be seen inside the theme parks, but there are plenty of other places on Disney property where guests can enjoy them.

My family has a tradition of having dinner at the Polynesian Resort on the Fourth of July and then walking down to the beach for the water pageant and fireworks, where the music is piped in. Though it is crowded, it is nothing like being wedged shoulder to shoulder inside the theme parks. The kids can run around and play, the adults can enjoy tropical drinks, and we beat all the traffic home — everyone leaves happy.

The Magic Kingdom fireworks can be seen from many vantage points around Seven Seas Lagoon, including rooms, restaurants and beaches at the Grand Floridian, the Contemporary Resort, the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness campground. And, if your timing is perfect, you just might see the show from the monorails or resort boat launches.

Be aware that at this late date, it will be difficult to get a dining reservation at any of these hotels. However, you can still eat at one of the counter-service restaurants and enjoy the fireworks. To do so, you’ll need to park at the Transportation & Ticket Center (cost: $14 per car) and take a monorail, ferry or bus to your destination. Parking at the hotels on July 4 is limited to guests who are staying there or who have a dining reservation, and it definitely is enforced

FOUND this info: if you aim to catch the Magic Kingdom fireworks, the monorail resorts (Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary) are a better bet than Downtown Disney. You might consider heading up to the bar at the California Grill, 15th floor of the Contemporary, ten minutes before the fireworks. Order a drink, and get ready. When the fireworks start, they dim the lights AND play the same music as in the Magic Kingdom! I seem to remember they do that on the pier at the Polynesian too, but not sure about that.

You can also see some of Epcot's Illuminations fireworks from the pier that the Yacht Club and Beach Club share

If you want to go off property, they have a very good fireworks display in Celebration, Fl.

Here is some info:

On July 4th, Celebration Town Center will once again travel back in time. This time we’ll journey to an era when Poodle skirts were hip, Elvis was King, and a whole new version of rock-n-roll was born. Come experience the 50’s all over again as Celebration Town Center celebrates July 4th with “A Flashback 4th of July” – An All-American Sock Hop. The event begins at 5:30 p.m., and the 50’s themed fireworks show will get under way at 9:30 p.m.
The evening will feature a 50’s costume contest at
7:30 p.m., so break out your poodle skirts, lace up your leather jackets, roll up those sleeves, and come dressed to impress. It will also feature a synchronized fireworks spectacular set to the theme of the 50’s best loved music, and a concert by some of the world’s most famous tribute artists, including tributes to Ritchie Valens, Roy Orbison, and the legends of Motown beginning at 6 p.m.

So, get ready to dance the night away in a one of a kind family friendly event. And if you aren’t ready to “Do the Hand Jive” yourself, professional dancers from SHOUT! Swing Group will be on hand to show you how.

You will feel like you’ve just walked on the set of American Graffiti, and there will be something for people of all ages as Town Center’s KidZone features an assortment of inflatable games for kids and teens that will include a jousting area, a rock climbing wall, face painting and more.

For more information about Celebration Town Center and Special Events, visit www.celebrationtowncenter.com or call Michael Nunez at (407) 566-4007.

Ugh, you could just come to my house, my neighbors have been setting them off since the sun went down...and its not even the 4th yet..

But seriously, if you have park tickets, EPCOT is a fav of mine...otherwise, do MK from Poly beach. Its a GREAT spot. Expect crowds.
