I'm really sorry about a - sorta - duplicate post. I tried to post a poll earlier, and my post came out without choices. I was really hoping for votes, so PLEASE bear with me!

I am bringing a group of teachers to Disney World for a convention. We won't be able to go into a park on the 4th of July because we are in-session, but I still want them to experience the magic pixiedust: of the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

Where do you recommend we watch the 4th of July fireworks.

It all depends on what you would like.

If you like to hear the music really well and like the idea of being in the park and fireworks going off all around you, then in the park on Main ST is the place.

During the July 4 fireworks in the MK, there is an islande in the lake outside MK, just in front of the park. On that island they do a "mirror" fireworks show. Basically every single firework that goes off behind the castle is also going off in sequence on the island. So basically there are two identical shows going on simultaneously. Even the finales are the exact same. Aside from that, they also do full perimeter fireworks during portions of the show.

With that said, it's very cool in the park to turn around from the castle and see the same show going on behind you.

However, if you sat on a resort beach or at the Ferry Landing you'd basically be able to see 2X the fireworks siince when you are in the park, you can't see them all at the same time because you have to turn to see each area.

I saw it in the park and it was cool but I'd love to see it from outside. I just liked the music in the park and though they pipe it in, it's not heard as easily at the resort beaches.

I'm looking for the same info... We will be there July 4th this year.... Which Park?

there is a way to see each park's 4th show if you want.

July 3 MK does it's July 4 show (they do it both nights, the 3rd and 4th). Go to the MK on July 3 to see their big show.

July 4, go to Epcot. Show starts at 10:00, and MGM's show at 9:00. You can be at Epcot and watch MGM's show at 9:00 (you can see it with NO problems at all and easily hear each shell).

Then at 10:00 you are at Epcot for their show.

Epcot has the biggest and most incredible show of them all. MK's show is good but the finale is about 3-5 seconds (no exhageration) while epcot is basically a nonstop finale. They even do the regular Illuminations before the July 4 show, whereas MK does not do Wishes.

July 4th is one of the few times the Resort asks that non Polynesian resort guests stay off the beach. They do bring out security and check at the front guard booth and one time I was there they checked our resort ID at the monorail. They also go around the beach checking. I would not suggest going to the Polynesian beach as a non-Polynesian guests on the 4th of July.

Is this true even if I have dinner reservations at 'Ohana? I was hoping to eat first, and then head down to the beach...

Since it has gotten out of hand and people abuse the use of the beach on that night including taking chairs from the pool and from other guests patios and not returning them, they ask that if you are not a Polynesian Resort guest that you do not view the fireworks that night from the beach. They randomly check IDs at the pool, beach, and monorail that night. Since that does not solve the problem completely they have said they would consider trying additional methods to reduce the amount of non-resort guests to deter them from trying to do this again. Non-resort guests are welcome on normal nights since it does not become a problem but for the 4th of July and I would assume nights like New Years, they don’t want additional people there.
