I'm in the beginning stages of planning a 10-14 day Florida vacation for June/July 2005. We'll be driving (that will take up 4 days of the trip) and we'd like to spend 3 days at each of the following places US/IOA, Vero Beach and WDW. We've been to WDW before and will probably take it easy this time and enjoy our resort (probably either BC or BW) for the most part, but we will be spending a day at MK and one at Epcot (my boys' fave).

We've already done the Illuminations cruise and was wondering if they change it for the 4th at all. We want to end up in the park with the best fireworks (WDW or US/IOA). Anybody that has been to both, which are better? TIA!

Denise, I've never been to any of the parks on 7/4, so I'll just bump this back to page one for you so that some of our veterans can offer advice.

Thanks Kath! I just noticed I typed Firewords instead of Fireworks...maybe that's why I'm not getting any responses!

In my opinion, the fireworks at Epcot are always the best on J4. Universals are great, but it's basically fireworks to music. At Epcot, you get the normal IllumiNations show with a J4 "tag" -- which adds about another 10-12 minutes of fireworks on the end. There's patriotic music, fireworks all around World Showcase, and a massive finale. I'd choose Epcot.

This is our third time going for July 4th, and while we've never been to Universal in July, I would also recommend the fireworks at Epcot!! They are absolutely fantastic!!!

We'll be back for the 4th this year!!!
