4th of July DCL

What's 4th of July like on a Disney cruise? Do they do anything special?

we were on the Fantasy past 2 summers over July 4th, 10 & 11 nights ship was decorated for that day! special dinner menu and drink of the day
evening show on deck each yr 2017 the show was excellent, 2018 not nearly as good, someone who was on both cruises posted a review
fireworks 2x on each cruise, pirate night & July 4th

We were in Alaska in 2017, and it was great. The characters were in patriotic costumes, there was a fun stage show, and they served a special menu. This year they didn't do anything.

I was on the Fantasy for 4th of July and they had red, white and blue bunting draped all around the atrium (beautiful). They also had a concert in the atrium where all patriotic songs were played. There may have been a BBQ up on deck as well. Other than that you would not really know it was a 4th of July cruise.

Edited....yes! for got about the characters in patriotic costumes...that was great!!
