4th of July at VB?

Two questions -

Is it hard to get a two bedroom at VB for 4th of July week seven months out?
Do I need to call day by day or can I wait and do it all at once? Thoughts?

And, does VB do anything fun for 4th of July?

I do not know the answer to your questions but I would like to know also since we will be there over the 4th before our Disney cruise.
