my dd10 is doing her project on Sticky Floors- what makes the stickest mess on a kitchen floor. she is conducting a survey to find out what adults find to be the most common items spilled on kitchen floor! Would you please help her by answering just 4 questions it won't take more than a minute of you time! She already has a ton of water, milk and juice votes so if you can think of some other things that would be great. she is hoping to test the top ten items!

Thanks again

I just took the survey. The three things I listed that get spilled on my kitchen floor the most are Iced Tea, Soda and juice. As far as what is the biggest pain in the neck sticky wise I would have to say Sprite/ 7up becaue most of the time when the kids or DH spill it they don't notice that it's spilled or dripped because it's clear. I always wind up stepping on it hours later after it dries and I only notice it because my socks stick to it.

Hope this info helps your daughter with her project. Good Luck!

Milk Tea Water. Water doesnt sound bad but we have faux wood floors, and it will warp the wood if not taken care of immediately.

thanks for taking the time to fill out the survey! she is hoping to reach 100 or more people! then she will compile the data and test the top 10! she is super excited about her project!

Filled it out. Hope she gets all the responses she needs.

Done. I find the stickiest thing other than juice/milk is Kool-Aide or Lemonade.
Fun project!

I did the survey. :)

My DD did this project in 5th grade and won 1st place for her grade and 1st place overall for the school. The liquids she tested were coke, diet coke, sprite, sweet tea, kool aid, and water (as a control).

Good luck to your DD! :thumbsup2

What a fun project! I said that for me, it's filtered water from my Brita pitcher, pasta sauce, and soda.

I think that other fun ones you can try are maple syrup (we don't use it that often, but when we do.. it's all over the place even with both of us being adults!), iced tea and sweet tea (I'm sure the sugar makes a difference!), coffee, cream, melted ice cream, etc.
