4th FP+ Question

We have our 3 FP booked for our party of 4.

I booked a FP for my 80yo mom for Everest knowing she won't go on it so how can I book at 4th FP for her if she doesn't use her first 3? (I'm not even sure the 11 yo will go on so there will be 2 out of the 4 of us who are 1 FP behind).

Do we just scan their MBs at the ride to "use up" their FP? Have them scan their own bands, then change their minds and decide not to ride and walk out of the queue?

I know we can just let their FP expire but then I'd have to wait!

You could do that. Or someone can use those bands to ride twice, or you can just let it expire.

Like you also mentioned, you also can just walk up to the scanner and scan into the ride and just not ride. You don't even need to walk through the queue. It will "use" the Fastpass.

You can change their FP at any time to any ride that is available.
You don't need to wait, or even to 'use' the EE FP. You can choose a different experience for that FP at any time, as long as the option you want is available. If you want to wait until you ride EE, you can do that too.

You could also cancel the Everest FP. Then when you go to book the 4th FP for the rest of your party, it will be booking her 3rd FP. Either way, you'll be able to book your group's next FP (whether it's a 3rd or 4th FP) together.

I would book your mom's 3 FP for an attraction you know that your family wants to do and then when the other three members of your family finish with EE, you could try modifying your mom's FP to include the rest of you. Sometimes it seems easier to add family members to an existing FP reservation than to book a completely new reservation.

If you don't have an overlapping (time) FP, you should use the 'change party' function in MDE (app or website) to do it. If you have a conflicting FP on your band, just swap bands.

If you just swap bands, keep in mind, the attraction CM might look at your grandma's name and comment. Back in the day, I used a few bands with weird names (princess names, or nonsense) and the CMs always chuckled or asked me what the deal was and why my account said Zmatt-Z or Rapunzel...
