Has anyone checked in at 4am before? We are booked 8/29 but tech. will not arrive till 4am on 8/30. We want a room when we get there and with free dining that just gave us more value. Did you call the resort to tell them you would be arriving late? Did you speak to a manager? I hope someone can help.

I have arrived at 2 AM and 3 AM. I did call the resort directly a few days before our arrival to let them know our arrival time. We had no probem checking in.:goodvibes

I checked in once at 4 am due to flight delays and severe storms in Orlando. I actually arrived at 3:00 am and was told I could'nt check in till 4 am. I guess they did'nt want me sleeping in the lobby anymore.:rotfl:
I would call ahead of time and let them know your situation. Hopefully they will have something ready at that time for you.

Good Luck!:)

Thank you for your responses.:thumbsup2 That makes me feel better. I just don't want Disney to think we are a no-show and give our room away.

I believe Disney keeps your reservation until 6:00 the next morning. There is a period of time when the computers go "down" and I think that's somewhere around 3:00-4:00 AM (kind of like a TV satellite system getting the latest programming schedule downloaded at 3:00 AM). Probably why the PP couldn't check in until 4:00 AM.

just have them note your reservation. They have printed keys before the system went down and had them ready for me in the past. You will need to go back in the morning to add a credit card

If it were me I would try to get through to someone at the hotel directly. While a note on the reservation will probably do the trick, speaking to someone actually on property will be one extra safeguard that everything will be ok. Since this is usually when the night audit is run at most hotels, they should be able to preregister you so you will have keys, and as someone else mentioned you may have to pop by the desk in the morning to put a CC on file, etc.

Thank you everybody for all the info. This is exactly what I needed to know to be prepared. I did not want to get there and then have a problem. I will call before we leave the house and talk to a manager then I may even plan to call around midnight and talk to a manager again. Any idea when the night managers come on duty?

Usually around 11pm....

Just keep in mind when you call you are most likely talking to a call center. They answer like they are the front desk of the resort. They will decide if they will forward your call to a manager.

I would have your reservation noted that you are arriving at 4 AM so you don't have any problems.

Yes, I have, and I did it as a walk-in. No reservation. No phone call. Just showed up.

They were rolling the system, but I got checked in. :) She was doing it manually and wasn't really sure what she was doing (typical bang-up night audit clerk), so it took a few extra minutes. I even went to the bathroom (hadn't stopped since we'd entered Florida nad it was TIME for a potty break!) and she was STILL working on it when I got back to the desk. But we got it done. :)

I didn't have to go back to give them anything. I wouldn't have done it even if they'd told me to because I was flippin sleeping...but they didn't ask.
