48 credits and still ordering more food?! w/pics

This is great! We're thinking of doing LTT for lunch too... would you say it is something you would do again?

I have 2 little kiddies too... I'm thinking a quick CS would be better, but we'll be on the Deluxe plan, and have the TS to spare...:rolleyes1

Thanks for your review & all the time you're putting into it. It's great!:thumbsup2

Loving your reviews! Great mix of restaurants. That sandwich at Sunshine Seasons looks delicious. Can't wait to read more. popcorn::

Great reviews & pictures, thanks for taking the time to post. We're staying at WL for the first time, so it's nice to hear about Roaring Forks, that oatmeal w/toppings sounds yummy! :)

Hmmm... I'm really glad we tried LTT for lunch. I wasn't drawn to the character dinner because the menu didn't appeal to me, but we wanted to try it out. We liked it, but I don't feel any need to rush back, ya know?

Two young kids may not "get" the colonial theme. If you really want TS it's a good option (as there aren't that many good TS places is the MK, IMHO), but really young kids may not like it without the characters.

What an awesome report... Thank you for sharing...

we have an early morning CP breakfast planned and I just cant wait!!!! 8:05 ressie... now to get DH and DD up and to MK from BC!!!!!!

Great review.....nice pics......I should not be reading before dinner time...LOL

Roaring Fork -

After two big TS meals in the MK we returned to WL for a rest and an easy dinner before heading to MGM to see Fantasmic and the Osborne lights.

It was about 6:30 and the Roaring Fork was almost empty. The only busy area was the line for the grill (chicken fingers, burgers...). We immediately headed toward the cold salad and sandwich counter instead. DDad and I decided to split the ham and tillamook cheddar on rye and DSis and DMom went for the grilled veggies and hummus sandwich. The sandwiches came with pasta salad.

For desserts they don’t have many options. We got one vanilla cupcake and a cup of frozen yogurt/soft serve (not pictured):

When we went up to the register I just took an empty yogurt cup and asked if we could come back in later to fill it up so it didn't melt while we had our sandwiches. The CM said “of course” and told us we didn't even need to bring up the cup. Later DSis came back and got half vanilla soft serve ice cream and half strawberry fro-yo.

The sandwiches were good. The ham sandwich wasn't as good or as big as the similar sandwich I had at SS, but we enjoyed it. DMom and DSis gave the veggie sandwich a two big thumbs up. The pasta salad was a big thumbs down. It was bland and vinegary.

The cupcake was surprisingly good! Super moist and not overly sugary. DSis and I split it. She ate hers with the strawberry fro yo and I had mine with the vanilla. Who doesn't like cake and ice cream? DMom and DDad just had a few bites of the ice creams.

Overall: This was a nice, quiet meal. The menu isn't that extensive, but it’s more than just burgers and fries. B

Value- 2 CS credits plus 2 snack credits for 2 more drinks = approx. $ 27

Right after dinner we hit MGM and the weather had turned very cold. The fake snow actually froze! We got a bag of hot, candied almonds at one of the carts (they don't accept snack credits). I think it was about $3 and they really hit the spot. We wanted eggnog, but only one cart had it and you had to get the souvenir mug-it was about $8. Too rich for our blood! I wish they'd had coffee too.

Up next- our last day :(

I just an email from Photobucket saying I'm outta bandwith until the 21st :confused3 I only have 2 more meals to review!

Anyone know a way around this? I have a Flickr account, but I can't figure out how to link to it

With Flickr, click on the pic you want then click on "all sizes" then copy the URL and add it to your post by clicking on the "mountain" and pasting the URL in. I'm so not technical, so that's as good as my directions get :) Hope it helps!

Thanks! Let's see if this works!

Main St. Bake Shop -

Our last morning was a bit chaotic with checking out and such. We left our bags with the airline check in desk and headed back to the MK boat long after I'd wanted just to. It was bitterly cold and there was a huge crowd. We didn't even make it on the first boat. However, I was determined to try Main St Bakery for the first time!

We rolled in at 10 to find absolute insanity. It was a mob and an unorganized one to boot. The end of the line was barely inside the door. We got on it, but there's no posted menu so we couldn't see what the choices were. I tried to go peak into the counter, but it was hard. We had one CS credit and a bunch of snack credits left.

When we finally snaked up to the counter it got really confusing as different CMs approached each of us so we couldn't quite order as a group. I asked my CM what you got for a CS credit and she didn't know. She went and grabbed another guy who seemed confused too and said only sandwiches counted. Well I had heard DDad say he wanted a croissant so I got the egg, ham and cheese croissant sandwich thinking he'd like that (and they won't give you one without meat FYI). I didn't know he'd already ordered a plain one and so had DMom! Here’s the sandwich and one of the plain ones:

DSis was getting seriously frustrated as the line was pushing along fast. She ordered an everything bagel (which they brought her with no cream cheese so we had to ask again) and a coffee. I didn't know if DMom had even gotten anything for herself so I asked for a cinnamon bun and french toast loaf only to discover her holding cereal so I gave back the cinnamon roll. So here's the famous french toast loaf:

When we finally got to the counter I grabbed a large milk and went to get DSis to add her coffee to my CS order only to be told that CS breakfasts come with one drink not two. What?! I told the CM otherwise, but she was rude and wouldn't budge.

After all this chaos we then couldn't find a seat. People were hovering around for tables. Luckily a group was leaving the bar stools at one of the counters in the back corner as we were coming in. It wasn’t very comfortable, but it was better than standing or going outside.

So is french toast loaf worth the hype? No way. It's good, but very rich and heavy and a little too mushy in the middle. I liked it, but not that much. The egg sandwich was also good, but no better than the ones at the resort CS places. The other pastries were similar.

Overall: I'm glad I tried this and got it out of my system. I would have been bummed to miss it, but a quick stop at Roaring Fork (as my family was pushing for) would have been a far more pleasant experience. C+

Value- In the chaos I have no clue what we spent. The bagel, French toast loaf and my milk came to $8.81 so I’m guessing the total was about $25.

Is this the end? Oh no!:sad2:

I've never been to Main Street Bakery... looks good, but the crowds would really turn me off.
:headache:

Is there more?popcorn::
Great reviews!:thumbsup2

One more review to go! Lunch at WCC.

:headache:

Usually I love food so much that I can ignore crowds, but this was just terrible. If I ever try this place again it'll be for snacks or maybe lunch at an odd hour like 2:30pm.

Do they have the breakfast menu in the afternoon? I would assume it is always bakery goods... since it is a bakery after all. That would be a good time to pop in. :goodvibes

We are almost always there in the DEAD of September so it might not be too bad in the morning. ??? Maybe I'll go look up the menu...:rolleyes1

I know they have the cold pastries and the cimmamon rolls all day, but I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong) the french toast loaf is only in the morning. The cinnamon rolls looked amazing-wish I'd tried one!

We tried Main Street Bakery once but like you didn't know what was a CS meal so went elsewhere, doesn't look as though we missed much!
