o.k I have the 4/3 package booked for march for 9 nights and bought 1 night at the start at room only, and got the caa rate for that (10% off rack)
so my total package for 2 adults and 2 mini adults (15/12)
Port Orleans french quarter, std room, 8 nights park passes with WP+more, not PH. and 9 nights dining plan.
$4447.90 us
I see that they are now offering 45% off moderates for 5+ nights so I can book 10 nights at room only for 1243.69 including tax feasibly, plus park passes for another 1236.08 plus dining plan 1879.60.
Is the dining plan 46.99 include the tax or is there tax on top??
so if that includes tax our cost for 4 including all this would be 4359.37 and I am getting an extra day of food that I didn't have with the 1 night room only.

This sounds too good to be true, plus my CAA lady is off tomorrow, so I might call myself in the morning and see if I can get this rate.
Gosh I wish I hadn't booked with CAA!!!!!

I don't know what your actual dates are in March but when I plugged in March 6th-16th for 4 adults, POFQ SR, 8day W&M tix, & regular dining plan, I got quoted a price of $4911.80. I don't think you can get the "room only" discount if you book a package with dining and tickets, maybe I'm wrong....

If you book "room only" you can't get the dining plan unless you have an Annual Pass (or DVC but that's a whole different process). So if you wanted to give up dining you could book the room only deal and buy tickets separately, but if you want dining you need to book a package (not room only).

I don't know, but maybe you can book the room only, then add the tickets and dining.

I'd call Disney or your travel agent to find out - I know it's a pain when you go through an agent of any kind. You lose the "control" thing, which is big to me. I book all my husband's frequent travel, so I can control it all and make changes if he needs. I'm at "work" all the time, so he doesn't have to wait for Monday morning!

yeah, i called and I guess you can do room only and then add the other stuff. Their room only rate was higher than I had figured out online which is totally weird, and then I added the rest. I hadn't figured on taxes on top of the dining plan, I just thought it was 46.99 per adult per day and not added taxes.
It's all good.
Our dates are March 11-21st, 10 nights so we have 4 weekend nights and the rest are weekday. anyhoooo.....it's all good, I will keep what I planned as when I called last night they didn't have any room left at FQ for my dates to make a new booking, only POR and CBR (done those) so it's good.
All i have to do is pay final payment later this month and make a small order from garden grocer and we're set.

thanks for your replies.

Just called and saved $ 3000 with the room code.:cool1::cool1:

It was no problem to ad tickets and the dining plan. :thumbsup2

The discount rate is based on where you are staying. The villas are the 45% off, I believe (that's at least what I got) not sure where everything else falls inline, but it shows online on the website....I believe it starts at 30% for value and goes up from there. So you could have beenat 35% for mod.

Just checked online and I could add dining and tix, but it didn't save $ for me, we have the 4/3 deal and our total was $4298 for 3/18-3/27 CBR pirate standard room, wpm plus hoppers 8 days, dxdp, 2ad, 2 ch (with one night room only booked at 35%discount). This new deal would have been $4597 with one extra night of food, but we don't need the extra food on dxdp! Seems like a great deal if you are on reg ddp or qs! Hope you all get great deals!!

Just booked March 15-24 at the Poly and got 40% off rack rates. It was no problem to add tickets and dining plan. Even without the gift card promotion I am still saving so much!

She can if she adds tix to her 'room-only' discount reservation. That makes it a package and then she can add the dining. I have had no problem doing the same online. I think the OP misunderstood the deal and that is why it was more than she thought. I think you can only get as much as 35% off mods with the new GP deal. 45% is reserved for villas.

OP, you can pay about $300 less (on a stay 3/1 to 3/11, I'm not sure of your actual dates) by doing a split stay with the gc and 35% off room-only promos. The problem is that you would only have the dining plan for the first 5 days (you could make your credits extend into your 6th day.) But you'd have the $500 GC for food the last 5 days. This would probably cut out most, if not all, TS meals those days, unless it was your only meal in the parks. You could still probably get 2 CS meals per day out of it though. It just depends on if the freedom of having the dining plan over a set $500 those last 5 days is worth $300 to you.
