Congratulations!!! We paid for our trip with cash too...such a great feeling! We are determined that not one penny of this trip is going on a credit card because we don't want anything but great memories following us home from vacation!!! Now that the trip is paid, we are saving for MNSSHP and our spending money...only 6 1/2 weeks!!!

I have all of the cash for the trip sitting in my ING account, so I will just take it out of there when the Discover bill is due! ((LOVE Discover Cashback!))

I had been anticipating this for a long time and had it paid off in cash in May already. Since I had the money then to do it, it made no sense to wait. Spending money is already set aside, so all I have to do is wait to board the plane. This is my 12th trip to the World, so I'm going to take it easy this time.

We paid for our trip in cash as well, thanks to our generous parents who gave us as wedding presents enough to pay off our package, so that we wouldn't have to worry about anything. DH and I, however, have been saving up for spending cash -- no credit cards for us! Just debit, so that we don't have to actually carry around all that moolah

Not that it's a whole lot of money for a week's vacation, relatively speaking, we're in a moderate resort in the off-season, with free dining, so all in all, it's not too bad, but still, no actual credit cards were used for this transaction, which I am very happy about!

I am hoping to continue to save, now that I've got in the habit, and perhaps take a pay-in-cash vacation every couple of years.
