I am really getting frustrated. My 45 day mark (June 3rd is my check in date) is on April 19 and if the AP rates for June 3rd on do not come out before then, I will have to pay a change fee on my packages. That will cut in to the savings.

I really think if they are going to offer them they should be offered before the 45 day. I am sure several people have made reservations hoping to use the AP rate. How is it fair to make AP holders wait so long and then possibly have to pay the $50 change fee for downgrading the package price. Sigh!

Please Disney either offer the AP discount or tell us it is not gonna happen.

I am so frustrated. The AP discount will make a difference in what other activities I plan. I want to get my plans set in stone.

Oh well. Thanks for listing to my crying :)

Take Care

That would be maddening!

We're checking into Pop Century on June 3rd as well. We've been waiting patiently for our tax refund to arrive so we can pay our trip off so we've been watching the days until the 19th as well.

Here's hoping we BOTH get some pixie dust and those AP rates come out today and our tax refund comes tomorrow!

I hope something comes out soon. I have also been waiting for any AP discounts to come out. I am supposed to go in July. What is that $50 fee for? I never heard of that before. Thanks.

I think if you make any changes after 45 days you get charged a $50. and the closer to the arrival date the charge gets higher. But I am sure someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Although my trip is a little further away than yours - June 19-29 - I'm also frustrated because I want my hotel plans in stone! I've booked a AAA Pop Century room ($1297), but since then we've considered Wyndham Bonnet Creek...it will be $300 less and far more spacious. I'm really torn, but I'm tired of waiting for Disney to give us a deal. I love staying on Disney property, but this is ridiculous. June is a very busy time and all the resorts in and around are filling up. This is the first year I've been frustrated at Disney! :headache:

After 45 days out, if you make a change to your package that down grades the package you are charged a $50 change fee. When I talked to DRC the other day the CM said changing discount codes that lower the cost of your cost because of an increased discount there is no fee even after 45 days out. But if you remove parts of your package you are charged $50. I always thought that any change causing the $$ total to be lower is charged $50.

Either way I would incur the fee because I would remove 1 day base tickets from the GP discount package. With an AP rate you do not need to buy tickets to add the dining plan.

The change fee is $50 regardless after 45 days regardless how close. The fee that changes based on how many days out is the cancellation fee.

I would change your ressies to room only so you wouldn't have to pay a change fee when the AP rates are released. I had to modify my existing room only ressie over the weekend and the CM said that he believes the next set of AP discounts will be released in May.

Oh, I just saw that you have a GP discount. Keep that discount and use the ticket for a future trip when you renew your AP?

Did the CM give you an indication of when in May the rates would be released?

My DH is lobbying for us to stay off-site, since it's so much cheaper. But I keep stalling, hoping for an AP rate. Our check-in is June 1, so at least I have 2 days of AP rates.

I will be really disappointed if we have to stay off-site...

No, unfortunately he didn't give any indication of when in May they should be released.

It is completely insane they are doing things this way. I have a good friend who is in the same boat as you OP. I think her window actually came up yesterday meaning she had to pay off her package and will now have tickets she doesn't need or incur a $50 fee if and when AP rates do come out.

I was so sad two years ago when we let our AP's expire. Now I am glad, its not what it used to be.

Stinks plain and simple!

Hey NJ Disney Fan....just curious....Everytime I price out off-site vs on site, it costs about the same. By the time you pay for car rental, parking, gas, stress of driving...etc Give it a try and see, I would love to know if someone was able to price it significantly cheaper. Good Luck :) I gave up any chance of a discount by booking for Thanksgiving week :( DH wont let me take kids out of school.
