wow..that's more than Double what Roy And Stanley had hoped for..

Interesting.

This morning on the news, they were predicting no more than 30% . . .

I don't mean to sound dumb, but wouldn't that still mean 57% for M. Eisner? Does he stay or does he go?

actually not neccessarily, it's possible that some people didn't know how to with hold votes...

but even at 57%, that's not very much confidence in a CEO...

had Roy Disney started his campaign more than 3 months ag0, the numbers agains Eisner might have been higher....

I attended the Save Disney meeting yesterday and I talked to some people that had just found out about Roys movement within the past week,,

He was running unopposed so even if 1 person had voted for him offically he stays. However with this type of opposition the board will be forced to do something to force him out. Anything over a 30% no vote will be looked at by Wall St as very bad and prices on stock will drop rather quickly

So is it over? Is that the final tally? Just dying to know!:D

according to the news that's the final vote count..

According to cnbc, "Calpers" is calling for Eisner resignation by the end of the year. A man from ISS was being interviewed. He said he expects "Eisner to step down in matter of days or weeks....IF it hasn't already happened". :earseek: These next few weeks should be quite interesting!! :teeth:

apparently at the meeting one of the shareholders asked Eisner to do the right thing and resign, Eisner said the right thing would be for him to stay right where he is, because he's the best qualified to run Disney

For all those interested, there's a not-too-contentious debate on the subject over on the DEBATE board. CNN is reporting that Eisner will be staying around til at least late 2005, but may be losing the "President" portion of the president/CEO title... whatever that may mean...

later...
