Our first full day. We open the curtains to a glorious view of zebras, giraffe and rain. But it's okay, it is warm. We order a very overpriced but fun room service breakfast ( with a whole pitcher of hot chocolate with bunches of marshmallows on the side)! Oops... forgot to pack a fanny pack. I will need one today for the PONCHOS. Nothing a little money and a disney gift shop can't take care of. Off to Epcot and there by opening. Two observations...
The finger scanning thing really holds up the line and probably always will as so many visitors are first timers. Second, the preshow opening at Epcot is more irritating than cute. I was afraid some visitors around me were going to start booing and throwing fruit. We do all our favorites multiple times (Test Track, Honey I shrunk the Audience, Test Track, Figment, Test Track, other stuff, Test Track... get the picture?) We walk around the world just kind of poking around, have junky American food (hey, they are teen types) and do the ever frightening Maelstorm. Back to AKL by 1:30 for swimming (only DS10, too cold for the rest of us), hot tub, and relaxing. The rainy day turned out to be bright and sunny.

Dinner is at Bomas. DS 10 happy with the "American" aisle... french fries, mac n cheese, etc. DS 14 likes the prime rib and chicken. I partake of as much as possible. Honestly it was good, but not great. The flavoring was very sweet to my taste, especially the soups. The DHs enjoyed the desserts very much!

The animals were very perky today. We love watching them chase down the feeding trucks!

Early to bed after an "American Idol" fix. DH 10 complains that he is sad because he misses his Dad. I just tell him that people can spend time away from people they love and still have fun. It ends with me kinda telling him to "get over it". He is suprised and says I am being "mean". Little does he know what is in store for him as the week progresses! The best kept secret ever! :bounce:
