42 distressed points to rent

Hi all,

I rented some points to a friend of mine for his honeymoon but the wedding was called off due to a family tragedy the day before. He's not interested in getting his money back (and we're not close enough for me to eat the cost of the points for him) but I'd like to see if anyone else can use them so that I can get some of his money back to him.

Since the reservation was canceled the day before, these points are holding account points. That means they cannot be transferred and they can only be used for a reservation less than 60 days out. They also expire on Dec 1 of this year.

There are great fares on Southwest air right now and these would be great for a last minute trip if there is availability. I'm not even sure how much these should go for, but every fair offer will be considered.

If you require more points than the 42 I am offering for your reservation, I will borrow the points from my next use year but these points will be non-refundable and $10 each.

Thank you for all of the responses! I have a few people who have responded and I am trying to get back to everyone. At this point I have enough responses that I consider the points to be rented since I'm sure the dates that one of those people wants will be available.

At this point I'm looking at getting $7.50/point and will rank the incoming emails first by availability, then by who uses the most of the points and if there is a tie finally by who responded first. Since I can't check on availability tonight, I'm sorry I can't answer everyone sooner but I will call first thing in the morning!

If anyone is interested in renting points for $10/point, please see my other post about next year's points. I'd be willing to borrow them into this year if that helps!
