42 cent swap - how does it work?

I tried to do a search but didn't come up with anything -

You won't because its name changes everytime the postal rates change. We've had 39 and 41 sent swaps before.

The original idea had a hostess getting names and then giving two people each other's names & then they exchange addresses & swap amongst themselves.

When I took it over I changed it so that the person you were sending to was not the same person sending to you. I felt that if unequal envelopes were sent, the hard feelings wouldn't be so pronounced.

I asked that you sent me a list of what you wished and a list of what you had to send. I tried to match up it up so you were sending the items you had to someone who wanted them. There was also a minimum amount the items should be worth. The idea was for the items to fit inside an envelope that cost one first class stamp to send. Most of us went way overboard and sent much more than that.

The new hostess will give us her guidelines to follow. I am looking forward to enjoying the just sending stuff part.

Sign ups are 5/12 - 5/19, I plan to have the names out to everyone by 5/21. Turnaround is short, since this is supposed to be stuff from your stash. Due 6/6 I think. BAMB did add it to the calendar.
