I graduated from high school! I can hardly believe it!

The year was 1968 and Robert Kenndy had been asassinated a few days before.

Is it too late so say "Congratulations"????;) Is the RFK death the way you remember your graduation date? I have no idea of the exact date I graduated other than month/year.

I can't help it; everytime someone says, "it was *blank* years ago today", I have to say, "that Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play?".

Ahhh the memories, amazing how time flies, isn't it?! :goodvibes

Class of 1964 here! The year I married my soulmate, we bought a '64 Mustang, and Beatlemania had just bombarded America! :hippie:

Matter of fact, just received my 45th Class Reunion invite last week!! :dance3:

What's the saying...Yesterday's s memory, today's a present and tomorrow's a gift. :thumbsup2

Me too. I'm missing a "mini-reunion" tonight. Sometime after our 30 year reunion the reunion committee decided that they enjoyed getting together so much that they just kept meeting.

I usually go but, I cleaned out my garage today so I'm too tired. It's also about 30 miles away or I still might have gone.

I moved back to my hometown about 8 years ago so it's been a great way to reconnect with old friends. Several of my friends married their high school sweethearts - and a very, very happy after all of these years.

I sometimes joke that I dated all of my friends' husbands - but that includes being driven to a school dance by parents at age 13!

WOW! - some of you folks are like really OLD.

Class of 82 here.

I don't want to tell you this OP, but you're the same graduating class as my parents.:thumbsup2

Class of 85 here!

Terri

I always tell people I'll have to kill them if they say "I wasn't even born yet" when I mention my high school graduation year. ;) (I know somebody is being sorely tempted to post that in this thread! :lmao:).

Class of 1974 here. Darn, that was a long time ago!

It’s so nice you’re back home w/you dear Dad and have reconnected with all your friends. I’m not sure if I’ll go to my CR yet, about 100 class mates enjoy making it a big deal every 5 yrs. However, our DS is due to deploy to Afghanistan that month and not sure I’ll be in a reunion mood. :guilty:

DH’s class of '54 celebrates every year also. About 30 of them gather at a local restaurant, I think it’s sweet they still want to meet. :goodvibes

BTW ~ I miss your siggie pix ~ I used to enjoy the one of you and GWB. :goodvibes

I have to chuckle as our children graduated HS in '85, '87, '88 and '90. :goodvibes

:thumbsup2

Amen, like my Dad used to say, it BEATS the alternative!!

Class of 73 here!! :cool1:

DITTO ! My motto is: 'the best is yet to come' and for me any day above dirt is a good day!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

While I don't remember the exact day, mine was the same year.

Thanks for reminding me it was 41 years ago. :scared1:

Biut when people ask me when I graduated, I usually say 1976 instead, the year I graduated with my masters. :rotfl:

Class of '77 here...disco was still pretty much king

And by the way, I'm Not Old!!! Just some days my knees are old, and some days my feet are old, and some days my hip 'catches', and I just got glasses for reading.....
