Hi everyone and thanks for checking out my thread!
This is the first time I venture out of lurking and make a PTR, and when I get back- a full TR (if work doesn't boggle me down!)

I'll be heading back to the World in a few days time, Jan 13-15, for my 28th birthday!!!

About Me and my family-
I'm Gabriela, but everyone calls me Gaby or Gabs.

I will be turning 28 on the 16th. This pic was taken on the monorail from Epcot to MK during my trip last year for my 27th birthday.
I kinda insisted my family and I go for my 27th.
About 6 years ago, in an antique shop in Georgia, my mom and I found a "27th Birthday" Cast Members pin from MGM Studios, so it was sorta set in stone that we go :)

I am a Miami native and a Disney Nut. Between Family trips, school trips, and just random "Why Not?" trips, I have clocked in about 39 different trips to the World (though my parents insist on more).

That's my family 2 years ago on (one of) the inaugural cruises for the Disney Fantasy. We're a Disney Family :)

So this 28th Birthday trip would (by my count) be my 40th vacation to Walt Disney World.
(Not counting the most amazing 8 months while in the Disney College Program!!).

When not making random trips up north, I spend the majority of my time at work.
I'm a Visuals Lead at a Gap Kids, and am I licensed massage therapist. And once upon a time, I was a cellist and singer.
Love to watch movies, and do the most insane thing of keeping track of every movie I've ever seen. My total is 2011 as of yesterday (1/1/14).

This trip also marks the FIRST family vacation I take with just my younger brothers (the parents have opted to stay home)

Wait, I think I have a nicer picture of the 3 of us...

They're fraternal twins, 19 years old, and they too have had their fair share of birthdays celebrated in the World. E is the one with the long flowing locks of curly hair, and D (who is the older of the two) is in blue.

The boys (as we call them) are Sophomores in college and are, as always, beyond excited to go back to the World.

About the Trip-
The trip is pretty much a spur of the moment type deal. I was initially planning on traveling up and down the East coast (Miami to Toronto!) to visit friends, but my complete lack of experience with snow kinda deterred me (that and 3 of the 5 people I planned on visiting are currently not home during my travel window)
My brothers came up with the idea of us visiting US/IOA, seeing how I have yet to see the new HP stuff over in IOA.
We were pretty much set to go on this trip. I secured the days off from work, it was right before my birthday, and more importantly, right before the boys' flight back to school.

But as I looked into the cost of hotel and tickets, I started to wonder how much it was to go to Disney.
After doing some research, and putting together a spreadsheet to compare the costs, it turned out that it was more cost effective to go to Disney than US/IOA. More bang for my buck, if you will.
So I presented my findings to my family, and it was decided that I'd celebrate my 28th at Disney. This time the parents (who would be returning from Key West the day we leave for Disney) would stay behind with the dog, while the boys and I travel up by ourselves to Disney.

Quick Rundown of our plans-
Monday the 13th- Pick up car rental @7:30 and drive up. Check in at All-Star Music and head off to Hollywood Studios.
Tuesday the 14th- Morning at Animal Kingdom. Lunch/Early Afternoon at Epcot. Late Afternoon/Evening at Magic Kingdom.
Wednesday the 15th- Morning at Downtown Disney, then drive back home.
Thursday the 16th- After eating cake and spending the day with my parents, uploading pictures and posting (hopefully all of) my Trip Report.

Park Dates are tentative. Told the boys to let me know what attractions/shows they wanted/don't want to see, with the threat that if they don't, we'll spend the entire trip touring the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House (which I am very capable in doing so  ).

I'm so excited for this trip, lots of milestones for a quick, out of nowhere trip.
And I can't wait to come back and write it up for all of you.

Happy New Year!

Well we're just about set to head up to Disney.
Reserved the hotel, reserved the car, will be buying our tickets when we get up there.

Also we managed to get a hold of some Magic Bands!!
On day 10 until our trip, I logged onto MDX (MDE?) and saw that we could add on and customize our Magic Bands. After making a few calls to both Disney and Priceline (thanks Priceline for almost messing up our reservation) we got things squared away, and were able to fully customize our bands with our names and colors.

The bands will be waiting for us when we check in to All Star Music on Monday!

Just two more days of work, and then DISNEY!! (my co-workers have been awesome and keeping a countdown for me :goodvibes )
