40th Birthday favor

What do ya'll think of giving guests a scratch off lottery ticket ($1)
as a favor? Throwing my DH a party in January. Invited 27 families so that would be 27 tickets.

On that same note, we are having a 40th birthday party for my husband, but a group of us are going out of town out to eat and spend the night. I was trying to come up with a little something for everyone. My only idea has been a little gift bag with toothbrush, asprin, mouthwash or something like that. Does anyone else have any ideas?
