40th birthday at DL

We will be celebrating my husband's 40th at DL. Other than a birthday button, I was wondering if any one knows of any special things/perks disney will do to celebrate. He is a huge Star Wars fan so I would love it if he could get a picture with Darth Vador. I was also considering ordering a cake.

When we got engaged the Blue Bayou went all out and on our Honeymoon our room at the grand was decorated (free of charge) and we got a private ride on Soaring (just informed the cast member at check in it was our honeymoon) This was 7 years ago and I don't know if they do these sorts of things anymore.

You can't currently meet Darth Vader, unfortunately.

Other than dessert, I haven't heard or read about anything complimentary for birthdays... But I also hadn't heard about a private ride on Soarin' - like you had it to yourself? I'm intrigued...

I believe it was during the Year of a Million Dreams promotion. We met a cast member at 7:30 am at the enterance to CA Adventure (from the Grand CA) and my hubby and one other family was escorted onto the ride. I guess we just happened to get an amazing cast member when we checked into the hotel. We also loved the autographed pic of Mickey and Minnie that was given to us.
