Just got the ok from my husband to start putting together my 40th bday trip to Disney! So excited to be able to go to Disney in the spring vs the heat of summer!!
My question is - our kids will be 11 & 9 at the time and we want to stay on a monorail resort. Is the Grand Floridian good for kids that age? It would just be a long weekend - Friday to Tuesday.
Also - how busy are the parks Mother’s Day weekend?

GF is one of my DD's favorites, coming in right after BC. They have two nice pools and it is such a lovely resort. I've never been Mother's Day weekend so I can't speak to that.

Enjoy your trip!

The Grand Floridian is great for kids of any age in our opinion.

What a great way to spend your birthday! The GF is a great resort and, like the pp's said, it is very kid friendly (as are all the resorts). I can't comment on crowds over Mother's Day as we've never been over that weekend, but May is a very nice time to go. Have fun planning :wizard:.

Love, love, love the GF! I think that would be a great choice for a 40th birthday trip! I wanted soooo badly to be at Disney for my 40th birthday (next July), but ODD's softball schedule doesn't agree with me. :rotfl2:

Sooooo, I'll be celebrating my 40th a month later at the Boardwalk!
