40th Anniversary WDW

I was at WDW for some other anniversaries..15th, 20th and 25th...I had hoped they'd do something really awesome for the 40th. I have a 25th anniversary totebag..I think I'll bring it for our upcoming trip and look for a possible 40th replacement!

About looking for a 40th Replacement for Your 25th Anniversary Totebag ....
You cannot replace history and One of a kind.
It would do me proud if you were somehow able to take a picture of The 25th Anniversary Totebag and post it on here so that I can see what it looks like.
Walt Disney World's 25th Anniversary, I was a Senior in High School.
I only WISHED that I could have visited Walt Disney World at that time ....
especially when My line that I would say at My High School is
" Remember The Magic ".

I miss those days when Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom would Publically Commemorate and Promote their Year Anniversaries like they did back in the 1980s and 1990s.

Let's go for collecting a 40th Anniversary Totebag WITH The 25th Anniversary Totebag you already have. If I was that Lucky to go to Walt Disney World during even ONE of their Year Anniversaries, and had to give one of those kinds of souvenirs up, It would basically wreck me. That is a picture of how deep those kinds of things run with me, and touch me.

Please, don`t do it. I had to wait 25 Years THE YEAR AFTER MY FATHER DIED before my next visit to Walt Disney World TWICE in 2008.

My First visit was in Spring " Near Easter of 1983 ".
EPCOT was in it's First Year of Operation.

I`m telling ya, Treasure those memories from those trips.
They were special, they were one of a kind.

Thanks for the sneak peek Dwight! I'm hoping they come out with a new Dooney to commerate this that looks similar to the one they have commerating DL. I LOVE the mouse ear pin & hope we see real ears in that pattern))

BTW, You might wanna try to check out the New Castle Projection Show at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. One word .... MOVING !!!!
I am glad that Disney Parks are doing a promotion that is a little more sensative to BOTH Disneyland's 55th Anniversary, and
Walt Disney World's 40th Anniversary.
I`ll tell it to ya like this ...... What I am seeing right now has me wondering why Disney did not think of a more sensible promotion such as this a year ago? Honestly, Disneyland really could have used this. Have fun on March 17th and ALL while you are at Disney.
Save me some 40th Merchandise, if you can, please. I know one thing, They are doing the old ticket book and memo pad for
Walt Disney World's 40th Anniversary. If you can, Please save me one. Although, I was not there in 1971, A lot of those old attractions and everything were there when I first visited Walt Disney World back in 1983.

A Lot of the Walt Disney World 40th Anniversary Merchandise is available and being displayed at Walt Disney World.

Thank you so much for sharing that link. We will be in Disney in May and I cannot wait to get my hands on some of that merchandise . That E-ticket notepad and coffee mug is really cool, just looking at them brings back so many memories of me going to Disney for the first time in the 1980s (WDW opened 3 years before I was born). I'd better be counting my change jar for extra souvenier money

Josh (11 1/2). He is an avid character hunter, loves the castle shows, parades, and merchandise! He collects pins and ears, and now has my younger son in on the act LOL. Aidan (little brother) is more like his dad with Disney delights, he LOVES the RIDES. So, Josh and I sometimes sneak off to do our thing while they thrill seek

No, Walt Disney World Vacation, Or A Disneyland Vacation is not on my plans for this year.
Say a prayer for me that My Mother will have ONE MORE Big Bang Theory in her to where she can somehow get me a Walt Disney World Trip for My 34th Birthday in September 2012 ...... The LAST Month of
Walt Disney World's 40th Year Anniversary. I`m hoping to luck in to celebrating WDW's 40th at WDW for My 34th, and hoping that part of the
" Fantasyland Expansion " a.k.a. " Fantasyland Forest " will come open.

We will be at WDW in March celebrating my brother's 40th birthday (actually turns 40 while we are there) - will have to get some of the 40th anniversary merchandise for his birthday gifts!

We are also going for my 40th birthday which is 3/25. When is your brother's & tell him Congrats! Our trip is 3/17-3/26, our longest yet. We got all the ADRs we wanted, and I'm super excited about the new castle projection show & F & G. I'll be scooter bound from the first time ever thanks to foot surgery this Thursday, but I'm not going to let that bum me out. We have too many wonderful things planned and I could not imagine a better way to celebrate than with my 3 favorite guys in the place where dreams come true

Congrats to you to Minnie Mommy Mouse! His birthday is 3/26 - we will be celebrating at the California Grill. My parents will also be joining us (total of 7 dh, ds10, ds14 fill out the rest of the cast) and we are also celebrating their 50th anniversary (a bit early - May 13th).

I'll try and play the "it's my birthday" card every chance I get though LOL. I tried to get family members to go, but I come from LAME stock. Party poopers don't appreciate what they are missing

I just glad my kids & husband will enjoy this as much as I do. I'm not sure who is most excited I'm definitely looking forward to the 40th anniversary merchandise after the sneak preview Dwight posted. We enjoy pin trading, ears, and unfortunately I like the DB bags (but thank goodness I'm picky. And t-shirts.

I was born on October 25, 1971 and while our trip is planned for late March, I've always taken a point of pride knowing that WDW and I have grown up together.

As Far as the actual Opening date, You are a few weeks off.
Walt Disney World actually Opened On October 1st, 1971 .....
but never got dedicated until October 25th, 1971.
So, as far as you being born on the day that Walt Disney World got
dedicated?, It depends on if they decide to do a small rededication thing on
October 25th, 2011, but do a bigger event on October 1st, 2011?
Basically, in all reguards, you might catch something a little special.
But Really, Small scale, or large scale, You might be able to luck into something extra good. You might end up having a third choice in the color of your birthday cake .... unlike the rest of us who might visit, maybe you`ll have an easier time coaxing them into personalizing your birthday cake with the Walt Disney World 40th Anniversary Logo.
If your birthday was October 1st, then I would have probably brought an idea to your attention about coaxing Disney into preparing for you an
" I Share a Birthday With Walt Disney World " Button.

Thank god this thing is cheap. It's a piece of History. Pretty Much EVERYTHING in that 1971 Map was there was there on My first visit back in 1983 ....... although unlike in 1971, in 1983, they had Space Mountain.
