40th Anniversary WDW

I really am hoping they have something great planned for next year!!! We will be going in Oct. 2011 to celebrate our 3 yr Anniversary and our DDs first visit!!!! So excited!!!

Good News deedeew80 !!!,

You will be there basically almost at the VERY Beginning of
Walt Disney World's 40th Year Anniversary. My Question is when is your actual wedding anniversary?

- Dwight

Honestly, I loooooooooooooved the Year of a million dream, there was just something about thinking the Dream Team was around the corner, and that yes the odds might be one in a million, but maybe, just maybe you would be picked to stay in Cinderellas castle or get that dream fast pass or that Magical upgrade.

Hey eeyorelixie !,

I LOOOOOOOOOOOVED the Year of A Million Dreams too.

The Magic Date for Me ..... 09/17/08

The Place ....... The Princess Room in County Bouty in Mickey's Toontown Fair Hall of Fame

The Prize ......... Magic Kingdom Dream Magic Hour After Hour Event Pass

By far, that was the BEST Birthday Present that I have ever recieved from Disney OR ANYONE .

I will always remember My 30th Birthday at Walt Disney World, moreover for that reason ....... Thanks to Karalea of the Dream Team.

The Dream Team and Mickey and Minnie Mouse all sang Happy Birthday to me in unison as I left The Magic Kingdom that night.

I almost could not walk myself out of The Magic Kingdom because I NEVER thought that I would actually win a prize from the 2008 Disney Dreams Giveaway, and I did.
I had myself a blast .

Yes, I did take notice of that!! That should be exciting!!! My anniversary is Oct. 18th!

How about Disney agree to celebrate their 40th by not raising ticket prices for the year, bring back real entertainment and somehow hide that eyesore of a work area you see from the monorail between the Grand Flo and Magic Kingdom.

Better yet bring back 1971 pricing

Ok, deedeew80,

So, It will be like 17, or 16 days between Your Wedding Anniversary, and Walt Disney World's 40th Year Anniversary.
A little bit of history for you ........ The Grand Opening of Walt Disney World lasted for a month in October 1971. Walt Disney World Opened October 1st, 1971. Walt Disney World got Dedicated on October 25th, 1971.

Yes, they should do something a little special for you.
I hope that you will take pictures of whatever Wedding Anniversary Cake that you all recieve.

40th Year Color is Ruby in Anniversary Color terms.
This is why I am interested to see what the Celebration Cakes that they make that will Celebrate Walt Disney World's 40th Year Anniversary,
Or People's Birthday, Wedding Anniversaries, etc. will look like during the run of Walt Disney World's 40th Year Anniversary.

Hello deedeew80,

I have a little something to show you on My Reply to CandyMandy
in Post #42 of this thread. I have been doing a little research and I have found a link to some pictures of a preview of some of the pins and vinylmation that will commemorate Walt Disney World's 40th Anniversary.

To clue you in on what I`ve seen them come up with so far for The
Walt Disney World 40th Anniversary Logo .......
Do you remember The Mickey Mouse Globe inside of The Big D of
The Old Walt Disney World Logo?
To clue you in, They've brought back the Old Mickey Mouse Globe inside of The Big D logo for The 40th Anniversary.

This really has me thinking that Walt Disney World is probably on route to doing its` own version of what Disneyland is doing with their 55th Anniversary Merchandise.

For Disneyland's 55th Anniversary, It`s Retrospective 1955.

My Prediction is:

For Walt Disney World`s 40th Anniversary, It very well could be Retrospective 1971 ....... by the looks of what I have researched.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Disboards,

Thanks to a very promising group at WDW News Today www.wdwnewstoday.com,

I`ve found some very telling information, whoever perdicted on here that the theme will be " Let The Memories Begin " next year, I`ve just found something to prove them that their prediction is absolutly CORRECT !!!!!

Disney is inviting you to share your memories by uploading your
photos and / or videos to www.disneyparks.com/memories.

This Memories theme will be a shared promotion with
Walt Disney World Resort in Florida AND Disneyland Resort in California.

I`d just thought I`d share this while it was on my mind.

Thanks for reading my posts,

- Dwight

The website Stitch Kingdom has reported Disney trademarking "Let the Memories begin" of course both the site and I have theorized that "Memories" is going to be next years theme, the prove more evidence the next day I saw an ad for the Vacation Planning DVD that said something like "Want to make Memories, just push play." could that mean a new DVD along with a new adventising campain, park decorations, and hopefully an new castle show and parade.

I did, okay Stitch Kingdom did, but when they annouced it today I was like Oh my gosh I was right all along. :woohoo:

Anyone know anything about something called the Florida Project at Epcot Sept 9-11, 2011?

Wondering if this is part of the 40th Anniv?

The Florida Project is the theme of next years Pin Trading Event at EPCOT. I cant wait for that! I had a great time at Trade City, USA this year!

Well, Queenofspoons,

Not only is the theme for next year, " Let the memories begin ",
but they are indeed working on a new castle show, more like a castle film projection show ..... using your memories.

Coming next year, Disney will be selecting people's photos or video memories to be projected on the Outer Facade of it`s a small world in Disneyland Park in California, and Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom Park in Florida, as a part of a new night time show.
So, Next year, if you are planning a trip to Disneyland OR Walt Disney World, Visit www.disneyparks.com/memories. And Upload Your Videos, and when you get to The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida, or Disneyland Park in California, Let a Disney's PhotoPass Photographer take your pictures with their own camera. Your Photo Memory Or the video that you uploaded of your past trip on www.disneyparks.com/memories might be selected to be used as part of their new night time memories film projection show one night, Your Uploaded Disney Vacation Video Memory could be used in one of their TV Promotional ads ..... if you are so lucky.
OH, One more thing, They have a new theme song for
" Let the memories begin " too, that will be sung by Montego Glover.
Thank you for reading my posts,

Cant wait to be their next year!!

Cant wait to be their next year!!

Um, I have news for everyone here about The WDW 40th Anniversary.

A Lot of the Walt Disney World 40th Anniversary Merchandise is available and being displayed at Walt Disney World.

I found some pictures of the merchandise on WDW News Today's Website.

http://www.wdwnewstoday.com/2011/01...ates-40th-anniversary-with-retro-merchandise/

.... If only I was born in Lake Buena Vista, Florida (somewhere) instead of Shelbyville, Tennessee (nowhere), I`d be having a party right along with Walt Disney World.

Enjoy !,
- Dwight

I am extremely excited to be visiting WDW in 2011. :goodvibes Planing on being there on Oct 1 st, love seeing some of the special 40th Anniversary Merchandise.

There are a few events going on then. May 12th-15th. Anyone else going to these? I wish they would post more info soon! We are planning on being there!
