Good evening, everybody!! I hope everyone has had a wonderful week!!!

My week has been loooong, tiring, and stressful! haha Work it just ridiculous right now, and there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day! haha

But that's okay, because I'm only 395 days until we're back at the most magical place on earth!!

I promise I will make the PTR more exciting here in the near future! I fully plan on adding a lot more pictures, but this week has just been bananas! lol

There was some good news today, though! We live in northern Texas, and have had one of the worst droughts in history this summer, and one of the hottest summers in a while. (The avg. temp lately has been about 102...gross) BUT, we woke up this morning to rain, rain and more rain!! And to top it off, the temp. DRAMATICALLY dropped to a high of 55 today!! I was frooooozzen! lol But I still enjoyed it!

BTW....my husband and I are watching the Texas Rangers play baseball right now!! We love the Rangers, and love going to the games!! I'll have to post a few pics. next time of us at some of the games!! Baseball games are such a fun time. I mean, it's not Disney World, but it's still fun! haha

Well..that's all I have energy for today, but I'll update more this weekend with some pictures!! LION KING THIS WEEKEND!!!!AAAHHHH! I'm feeling the need to purchase that soundtrack soon, and Tarzan soundtrack....

Sorry to hear that you guys were flooding! We have literally gotten maybe 4 rain showers since March. We are pretty dry around here. But thankfully, we aren't around where all the wildfires are!

I hope you enjoyed watching the Lion King!! I LOVED it! It def. brought back some childhood memories!

Heyy everyone!!! It's been a while!! (sorry about that!) There are just too many things going on in my life and not enough hours in the day!! haha

I hope everyone's week is going great!! I'm soooo glad it's Wednesday already!! Just a few more days 'till the weekend!! woohoo!

Even through all of my business, I am still SOOOOO excited about going to DW!!! 388 days left!!! Time is zooming!!
I have almost decided that we are going to add and 8th day ticket, and just have a later flight back. I mean, who can resist another day in the parks?!
If we don't switch our dates around to match up with FD, DH and I will be on the QSP for the trip. It worked really well last time for us, so it's no big deal! We also pick three TS meals to eat at during the course of our stay. This trip I think we are leaning towards: 1.Boma 2.Via Napoli 3.Yak & Yeti. But, of course, we are still a ways away so things could change!! And knowing how all of us, obsessive planners are, it probably WILL change!

DH and I went with my mother, aunt, uncle and two cousins to see Lion King this last weekend!! SOOOOOO goood! I forgot how much I loved that movie as a kid! It brougt back so many memories! And it was nice to share something from my childhood with my cousins (ages 3&6) I am an only child, so these kids are like my siblings!! love them!

This movie, of course made me even more excited for DW!!!!!

My little cousin, who I'll refer to as "chip", and I decided that we are going to have a Disney party on Sunday! We are going to bake Disney cookies, watch Disney movies and put together a Disney puzzle!! He's a cutie!! I'm looking forward to spending some time with him! I'll post pics. of our little party next week!!

Here are my two adorable cousins and I at the duck pond this summer just so you can see what they look like!! "chip" is the taller of the two! (I'll call the other one "dale" lol)

Okay, okay, okay. For anyone that is still reading this...I'm sorry I haven't been posting in a while!!! I haven't fallen off the face of the planet or anything..but you know how life can get in the way of things!! Even though I wish I could just sit and plan my trip all day....sadly that can't happen! haha

BUT I do promise to have a detailed update tonight..pictures included!! Not a lot has changed on the planning front at the moment!! I do have a few resturaunts that I want to def. get ADRs for..but other than that..I can't do much planning other than what I have already done, and redone..etc etc!! haha

My little cousin and I did have the Disney party last week and it was a BLAST!! He had so much fun, and ate about 5 homemade sugar cookies...so after he finished up his last one...sent him home!! I let his parents deal with the sugar rush!! haha I probably shouldn't say these things...whenever DH and I have a kid, they'll probably do the same things to us!!haha payback!

Anywho...I'll have pics. from the Disney party up soon so you can see just how much fun he did have!!

Also, I hear that the Little Mermaid AND Nemo are coming out in theatres again!!!!!!!! (My cousin told me this, but I hope it's true!!!) That would make this year and ten days go by sooooo much faster!!!

Hello, everyone!! Here is my second attempt to try to post this thing! I hate when it logs you out when you are typing!

Anywho, I don't really remember everything I wrote....so I'll wing it. It's been a lonnnnng time since I updated this...but I am almost completely positive nobody reads this...but that's okay! Maybe they will as Oct. 2012 gets closer!

Things have settled down as much as they are going to at work for now. We finally got our audit over with for the year, so things aren't AS stressful....but we seem to find a way to make things stressful anyway! lol
But I now have Disney to look forward to without being worried about the auditor's interview I had to do!!

Now I have a little more time to update...and if I find my camera cord...I can share the pics I'm going to be taking in the next couple of months!
Time has been dragging lately, but hopefully with all of the things that are coming up; the rest of the year will fly by!!

My husband's cousin is getting married in two weeks, so that will be fun! I'll get a couple of days off of work, and get out of town for a while! Then the week after that is Thanksgiving in the US! So I'll get another day off for that! Besides Christmas, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! I love spending time with family and I LOVE to bake! So really it's a win-win for me!!
I'll share the pics with you guys when I get them!

I have also concocted a brilliant idea!! I'm going to start doing a mini-TR for my disneymoon this last Feb. on this PTR!! I figure it will help keep the Disney magic alive at my house and give you guys something to read, whenever you start to read So, I'll be doing that soon!

Aww yay! Thank you for still reading!! I hadn't written in like a whole month, so I'm glad you are still hanging in there with me 'till October!

Hello everyone!!! Since it's FINALLY under the year mark for our adventure to DW (thank, God!) I have decided to start updating more!!!
And with that, I figured I could do a little TR from our Disneymoon this past Feb.! It's been a while..almost a year, and at that time, I wasn't a DISer, so I didn't take notes. So some of it might be a little bit hard for me to remember, but since it WAS my honeymoon, and my FIRST trip to Disney, I remember it pretty well! I figure it will be a great way to pass the time until we go back to the World!! I'll post ch. links on my first post, so you guys won't have to read my previous boring posts! haha I'll continue to let you guys in on my planning process for the upcoming trip as I relive my Disneymoon as well! I hope you guys enjoy!!! Btw..our trip dates were 2/6-2/13


(Also, I'm currently obsessed with the "Tapestry of Nations" soundtrack right now....SO GOOD!)

CH.1 A WEDDING AND A PLANE RIDE(OR TWO)

The day I had been anticipating FINALLY arrived, and after 5 years of dating my best friend, I was actually marrying him!! I won't go on into detail about my wedding, but I will say it turned out better than I could have imagined! The days leading up to it were a tad-bit drama filled so I wasn't so sure how that was going to affect the wedding day (My bridesmaids basically hated eachother...highschool ALL over again!) but to my surprise, they held their hatred in for my special day!!!

Even though our live musicians got snowed in in Dallas (FREAK snow storm in Texas that week), everything went perfectly. Thank God for ipods and speakers!! All of the months and months of stressing, crying, laughing, dieting, hot gluing, licking, sticking, and stamping had paid off, and it was magical!

We had a wonderful time at our little party afterword. We went with my side of the family after that to eat out Outback, then went to our room that DH's grandparents got us for our wedding night!! (It was close to the airport, so that was a plus!) We went to bed fairly early becasue the next day we were going to DISNEY WORLD!! I didn't sleep that well that night though, because I was too excited for DW, nervous that we wouldn't be able to go due to snow, and completely floored that I was actually married!!

We got up the next morning...early..very early...TOO early.Like 4:45 ish. But we were going to DISNEY WORLD!! Here we are sleepy, but ready to go!!!

We left the hotel, and it was starting to snow....and I worry too much, about almost everything...so I start freaking out. But, Dh, being the loving hubby he is, calmed to down and told me we would get to DW!
The shuttle driver dropped us off at the airport, and unloaded our bags. We then searched for cash to tip him, and realized we didn't have any. We felt SO SO SO SO SO bad!! We thanked him profusely, hoping that would suffice for a tip, and headed into the airport!
Our airport is SMALL so security was a breeze and we had ample time to just sit and wait for our plane!

It was about that time, that it started SNOWING. I know I already said it was snowing...but this was S-N-O-W. Like I wasn't sure we were going to be able to go kind of snow. But thankfully, we boarded the airplane and took off literally minutes before the huge freaking blizzard hit. (I think they got about 13" of snow while we were gone! The high was about 3 degrees the whole time we were in sunny 70 degree Florida in February!)
We had to change plane in Dallas, but it didn't take long and we were back in the air!

This was only my second time flying that I can remember (I had flown before that, but I was a baby...) So I was fascinated by everything! haha
Before we knew it though, we were in FLORIDA!! I was so so so so so excited! And we didn't even get lost on the way to DME!!

(Don't let this picture fool you, though. I had NO clue where I was going...thank GOD for a direction savvy DH!!) Nevertheless, I was EXCITED!

We got checked in for ME, and there was NO line!! There were actually probably like 7 other familes other than us there at the time, so everything was a BREEZE!

Soon enough, we boared our beloved bus!!

And we were a little excited!!!

This is one of my absolute pics. from the trip!! It really captures our personalities, and shows how much we were looking forward to the following week!

We watched the amazing, beautiful, tear-jerking movie...

And then we arrived...... I can't tell you how long I have wanted to go to DW!! I was 22 at the time, and had never been. I have loved Disney since I was a little girl, and had dreamed of going to the most magical place on earth since then. When I saw this sign..... I knew my dreams had come true!

Hey everyone!! So I’ve decided I am still pretty bad at figuring out everything on the boards! lol AND I would like to apologize for the HUMONGOUS pictures in my last post…I’ll work on that! haha So, before I start looking back on our Feb. Disneymoon, I wanted to update you guys on a little planning that I’ve been doing on our upcoming trip!
So, as of now we have the QSDP. We had that last time, and it worked out great for us. We also decided to make 3 ADR’s at “nicer” TS places and pay OOP for them. That worked out great too! So that’s what we are planning on right now…unless FD shows its lovely little face! (Then I’ll upgrade!) But with that said, I’ve shown DH the menus for some of the TS places I have been thinking about eating at if we only choose 3 again. I think we have made our decisions (for now at least! Haha)

Yak & Yeti—Lunch
Of course there are TONS more we want to try, so we are hoping and praying fall dates for FD are released!
I’ve also been thinking about booking the KTTK tour, and the Wishes dessert party! I’ve seen a lot about them on the boards and I think they look like so much fun! So, we’ll be doing one or both of those, probably! (It all boils down to the money situation, since we are also attending a MNSSHP as well)
I’ve also been planting Dec. 2013 seeds into my DH’s head already! Haha I keep reading Christmas TR’s and I think I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t go to DW during the Christmas festivities! Haha But that’s two years away, and I have an Oct. 2012 to plan!! But, I know I’m not the only one that plans future trips in my head before even going on the next one, right?!
Alright, that’s all I have for planning right now!

Ch. 2 Checking in and Checking out The Kingdom![​

Alright, when I left off, we had just arrived at WDW!!! These newly-weds were ready to see our room, and explore the Magic Kingdom!!
The bus dropped us off at the All Star Music resort with about 3 other families, and we made our way into the main lobby! Pretty much everything was magical to me! I was so excited, I can’t even explain! We had checked in online, so we went up to that counter! The CM was super friendly, and found our reservations in no time! Our room was ready and we were handed our folder of magic, which I still have today, and headed to our room to drop off our carry-ons!

There is Ben in front of the pool that was right outside of our building!! If it hadn’t been so cold on our trip, we would have made more than one trip to the pool! Haha Since this whole Disney experience was new to me, I was absolutely floored at how well kept everything was, and how appropriately themed it was! I wasn’t expecting how just immaculate it would be, and this was a value resort!! I could only imagine what I would have done if I would have walked into a Deluxe resort! Haha Ben would have probably had to pick me up off the floor!
Here is the front of our building!! We found our room with no problem (thanks, again to DH!) and entered. I saw the towel Mickey head, and just about had a heart attack!

I was so excited to actually be in Disney World! I had done a lot of research (not on the DISboards yet) but there was still a lot I didn’t know about! So all of these surprises were extra magical to me! We unloaded our stuff, and headed out the door! We were in our room for all about 10 minutes! Haha Let’s just say we toured COMMANDO! But it was so worth it, and so much fun!
We got to the bus stop, and waited for about 4 minutes and the bus pulled up! We never had to wait long for a bus (or a ride) the whole trip!! Pixie dust!!

On our way to MK!! Btw… I’m from a very small town, so I never get to ride public transportation; so I was VERY excited to be riding a bus!! (Last year we went to Denver, and I was SO excited to ride the light rail! So, let’s not even get to how I would feel about the monorail!)

Okay, so before we get to the first park of our trip, I would just like to say, I think I was a born DISer…I think you’ll be able to tell in some of my pictures! Haha I’m so glad I found the boards!
And again…another heart attack.

Before we knew it, we were getting out of the bus, and headed towards the entrance of the Magic Kingdom! By this time, I was overwhelmed emotionally, I guess; because the rest of the day I felt like I was in a dream! It was all very surreal. I couldn’t believe I was there, and it didn’t feel like I was! (if that makes sense!)
This was taken right when we entered the park! The crowds were low, and it was a little chilly, but not too bad!

Then, I saw it. I can’t even tell you what I was thinking. I knew it had to be a dream, because surely I wasn’t in Disney World staring at Cinderella’s castle! I would have asked DH to pinch me, but he would have and then I would have gotten mad! Haha  My first glimpse of the castle:

We, of course, had to take the obligatory “in front of the castle” pictures!

After “oohing” and “ahhing” we headed out to explore MK!
I had made a schedule for everyday we were there, so I was sure we would see everything!!
So on the schedule I had us go to Frontier land first, so that’s what we did!
On the way we decided to check out Tom Sawyer’s island! And took this picture!!

That’s my mother’s maiden name..so I was excited!

We had no idea what Tom Sawyer’s Island was about, but we had fun!! The barrel bridge was a challenge..I’m not sure if it should have been, I might just be very clumsy! Haha And I had NO idea what was supposed to be in the caves, so I was scared when we went in each one! Hahaha All in all it was a pretty fun experience; I mean there’s not a WHOLE lot to it, but I could even tell from this Disney goes out of their way to make everything an enjoyable experience! Even their playgrounds are extraordinary! The details are so awesome!
So….we still hadn’t made it to Frontier land….haha BUT we did ride our first ride of the trip!!! And it became one of my favorites!!

It totally looks like we are trying to take a picture of that guy and his baby! Haha But anyway, Haunted Mansion was AMAZING! It just showed me again how much they pay attention to detail! Everything is just exceptional! I was a little nervous, because I had read up on it, but didn’t know exactly what to expect. But it was soooo cool, and fun! I loved all of the effects that are used in the ride! I had never experienced something like that! Definitely one of my favorite rides!

This is blurry, but I still wanted to post it! <3 HM!
Then since I had planned to go to Frontier land first to begin with, what else would we do, but go to HOP! Hahahaha I promise, we do make it to Frontier land eventually!

I enjoyed the show! It’s very cool how life like all of the presidents looks! I could see how this would be a great rest stop on a hot summer day, as well! After that, we FINALLY headed to explore FL!****Sorry some of the pictures are huge again! I tried to fix them! lol

It’s FRIDAY! Hallelujah! This week has been pretty fast, though…so it’s not all bad. But, I’ll take a Friday whenever I can!! This weekend is actually a little busier than what I usually do on weekends, but still not that busy. Tomorrow one of my best friends from high school is having a bridal shower, so I’ll be going to that. I’m giving her a Ninja (the blender, not the person)…I’m not sure if it’s rude or not…but I’m re-gifting. I got two Ninjas for my bridal shower, and I never returned the other…so why not let someone else get some good use from it?! Anyway, after the shower, we have Church Sat. night (we don’t go on Sunday’s because DH has to work Sunday mornings.) Sunday, I don’t have a whole lot going on, but since it’s fall, and cold here, I’ll probably bake!! I love love love to bake! I’m leaning towards a carrot cake from scratch! Once I started baking things from scratch, I can’t bring myself to use packaged mixes anymore. Haha

In other news, I found my camera cord!! So I’ll be updating pictures that I said I would post like 500 years ago! I’ll do that tonight though, because I have to be at work in less than an hour, so I don’t have time at the moment!!
In DISNEY news…not too much has changed, but I am considering changing my dates to earlier in October. I’m kind of nervous about the crowds in mid-late October. I know it’s Disney so there are going to be people no matter what time I go, but still…. I think DH and I got reallllly spoiled on our Feb. Disneymoon. haha And the plus side to changing our dates….I won’t have to wait as long to get to DW!!! haha I’ll keep you guys updated!

Ch.3 Feeling the Magic and Sleep Deprivation

Alright, we were on our way to FL….and still haven’t made it there, last time I updated….but we finally made it!!!!!
I didn’t take a whole lot of pictures at that time, because I was probably literally dragging Ben behind me in an attempt to get to BTMRR and hopefully avoid a loooong line! (When I was doing my research, which consisted of compulsively reading “The Complete Walt Disney World” guide book and taking notes…every day for about two months, they said that the wait times for this ride are always very long, so I was prepared for the worst.) We walked up to the queue, walked through the queue, and got on the ride. There was absolutely NO line that I can remember! So there might have been like a 5 min. wait, but I don’t consider that much of a line! I couldn’t believe it!
We strapped ourselves in, and had a blast!! I mean, it’s not a “thrill” ride, but it was a lot of fun, and a definite must do! I bet it would be a lot of fun at night, so Ben and I will have to do that in Oct.!

After experiencing BTMRR, and loving it, we walked by Splash Mountain, and decided to wait. It was COLD! I’m always cold…always, so I didn’t think getting wet, then walking around in the cold would do much for me! After deciding not to ride Splash at that moment (we ended up not riding it at all…sad I know), we decided to hit up Country Bears! Since this was my first trip to DW I wanted to do EVERYTHING, so we did!

I know there isn’t a lot of love for this show on the boards, but I thought it was fun! Corny, outdated, but fun! It reminded me of the show that Goofy and Max go to in The Goofy Movie! Haha I’m not sure if it’s a must-do every trip, but I would probably go back, just because it’s an oldie!
This is the part of night I can’t really put into chronological order. I was getting very tired and sleepy. However, this was our first night in DW and I wasn’t going to stop!!! So, I’m just going to tell you how I think we did things! I’m not sure if they are completely accurate, but I know we did them all this night sometime! Haha
I know we were hungry. It had been a good 7-8 since we last ate, so we went to get some grub! I had read about Columbia Harbour House, and it sounded really good, so that’s where we went!
This is where we first tasted, and fell in love with Disney food! I did NOT know how amazing food was here. I figured it would be like typical Theme park food…I. WAS. WRONG. O.M.G.
The food was phenomenal. I can’t exactly tell you what DH got….I forgot, but I think it was Chicken nuggets or the shrimp. Whatever it was, though, he loved it!
I got the Anchors Aweigh sandwich….(wipes drool from mouth) Heaven on a multi-grain bun. It was so good!
For dessert, I got yogurt, and Ben got chocolate cake! And this is when I became a DISer without knowing!

It’s kind of a bad picture, but I was trying to get the sprinkles! Haha
And this is where I leave you, for now!!
