40 Weeks and Still No Baby! Help (UPDATE)

I have a strong feeling that even if they were not going to induce me tommorow he would be here ery soon. Even since my exam this morning I have been having so big contractions and a yucky bloody show a little bit ago. But we did just have an ultrasound an hour ago and they are putting him at 9 lbs 5 oz! So baby is well done and its time for him to pop!

Oh wow! Sounds like you're in labour!!!! I think you're officially in the first stage of labour once you've had a show. Sounds like baby got the news that if he doesn't make a move they're coming in to get him. "Alright geez I'll come out".

whoo hoo, doing the happy dance! I hope so, they have been pretty strong but not the ones that have me "screaming for God" as the nurse told me. So we will wait it out and see what happens.

Oh I just looked it up and it seems some women have a show and don't deliver for a few days (sorry) BUT the fact that you're having strong contractions too, well it does seem like he's on his way!!!!! Oh you'll have plenty of opportunity to scream for God (and scream at your DH, lol) later!!

Thats how big my Lucas was at 39 weeks.

Then again the ultrasound estimated him at 7lbs 8oz.

Wishing you luck! I was induced, too, but it was based off of his size.

My first daughter was estimated at 7 lbs give or take, the day before I was induced--She was 10 lbs. 8 oz She was 11 days passed my due date.

My second was induced 2 weeks early to prevent her from getting as big as her sis. She was 9 lbs 8 oz. Thank God the induced me early

Well, after all of the waiting the little man finally arrived! And like most of you said, he was not waiting for an induction to do it! All day wednesday I was having contractions on and off and when I finally went to bed around 1am Thursday morning they were about 7 or 8 minutes but still not consistant. Out of nowhere around 3:30am I was jolted with them comming 2 minutes apart and very strong. We made the call to the doc and dident even wait for him to return our call, we just ran out of the house as soon as we could. When we got there I was 4cm then 10min later when doc arrived I was 7cm! It was in no time that I was 10cm but he still was not low enough so they worried he was too big and gave me pitocon to try to bring him down. Well it worked and at 1257pm on Thurday our 9 pound 2 ounce baby boy arrived. Even though it was a tough few weeks the delivery was scary at times (heart rate dropped so low that they were screaming for another doc to come in for an emerg. c-sec)but fun. I still had my epidorial so I was not feeling contractions and we had a few good laughs in between pushing.
