I'm looking for some ideas of small "gifts" I can get 40 of to mail to BFF that's turning 40.

Thinking along the lines of 40 M & M's, 40 candles, 40.....

I don't need 40 gifts, 40 of something, get it?? lol

I did this for my MIL for her 60th and my best friends for their 40th. For my MIL her favorite was "60 Smiles" I made a collage of loved ones smiling faces. I also gave her 60 pennies, one from each year. For my friends 40 one liners/jokes, 40 Oscar winners since their birth, CD of 40 songs that remind me of them and the times we have shared, 40 events from the year they were born. I also used a lot of fillers, usually practical things like batteries, and q-tips. Oh and I almost forgot, 40 memories.

I saw something on pinterest that I am doing for my SIL who is turning 40 this year. Take a flower pot and put a foam floral block in it. Insert 40 tootsie pops into the foam and attach a card that says "40 sucks". Could also use blow pops and say "40 blows" on the card.

I like the lottery ticket idea. It's hopeful and positive. I wouldn't do the lolly pop idea -- I would keep it positive. 40's the new 30 after all!!

40 pennies, one from each year from birth to present. My mom did this for my aunt and mounted them in a cheap picture frame in the shape of a "40"

My mom just turned 70 - we gave her 70 bulbs to plant in her garden (then my dh went over and did the planting for her)
