40% pin code and DDP

I just booked 7 nights at the Poly with a 40% off pin code and today my husband called to see if we could add the dining plan. The CM said that if we
add the dining plan then we lose our 40% pin code and we will have to pay the full price. Has anyone heard of this before or did we get a CM that was incorrect.

I was told I could add the DDP as long as a added the one day ticket. You just have to get a CM that knows how to change the room only over to a package while keeping the discount. She even went as far as to tell me the price of both. She had to figure out how to do it, but it is possible.

The key is that you have to find a CM that really knows there stuff! That sometimes is easier said than done!

Yes, you can keep the 40% off on the room and turn it into a package. You need to purchase at least a 1 day base ticket for each person in the room.

Not all CMs are informed about this. Last year when I was trying to book a package using a 40% off PIN, the first CM I got told me I couldn't do it. I hung up, called back, and got a much better informed CM who told me that it was possible. He said they have to do a little digging to be able to do it and some CMs don't know how.

If you used the military 40% code you can purchase the QS/DP or the REG/DP (not the Deluxe) in conjunction with your room-only reservation. Mousesavers, AllEars, etc... have the codes posted.

Is the 40% pin for a room only booking?
The dining plans are part of a WDTC package.
It could also be there is no availability for what room type you have booked and during your travel dates for the specific WDTC dining package you want. However you do need to have a WDTC package to include the dining plan.

We received a 40% off PIN code for the room rate. We were able to book a MYW package with it at the Poly, including dining.
We paid 40% off the room rate but paid full price for 7 days of tickets and dining.

I did just think of something.
If you originally booked a room only with the 40% off code, and now you are trying to convert it to a package by adding tickets and dining, there may not be anymore rooms available at the 40% off rate at the Poly so they can't do it?

As long as you have the room only booked they can convert it to a package and you can keep the same room.

For the first time I recieved 2 pin codes.
Kids stay and dine free. The dates are not good for me.
40% off rooms. Waiting on school calender to come out
to see if I could use it.

We only do value resorts. It is only me and DD. For me its not
worth the extra $ for rooms. We spend ALL day in the parks.
But if I did my calculations right I am only saving about 200.00$

I don't even know if it is worth it.

Never mind. I just called Disney and they have a record of me receiving the 40%, so I can use it on a room. Thanks for your help.
