40% off in 2008 packages?

How? Is there a code? Which DDVR?

and it was in the rooms...you have to book before you leave....the dates were also limited....a few late Jan/Feb; some time in March I think and Late Summer.

I wanted to jump on it so badly but the dates just didn't work....sigh. BUT....I'm pretty sure you could RENT points from a DVC owner and come out AHEAD and get dates you want.

Yes, but the rooms were limited. I got the 40% off AKL and my standard room is $129 for our upcoming stay in December. I didn't get a code, but knew of it and pressed (not in a mean way ) a CM to apply it to my room-only ressie and she did.

Well it was a pin code that came to me by email but many other people were able to use a 3 digit code and my ressie showed a 3 digit code.

I'm pretty sure I booked mid-February. And it wa mostly gone a week later for others...so CHECK OFTEN in this section and mousesavers.

This PIN code came out in February and expired in March of 07 so keep your eyes peeled to the boards for this to drop in the next few months.

The best rate for hotels is 30% right now. I did hear of a code of 40% off for a DVC room, but was not interested. There is a code for room only and packages for several dates through 2008, but I got the code and got a Cm to apply it (after calling several times.) I used mine for the summer and got 30% off the Coronodo springs. It was very similiar to the 40% infamous code of this year which I also was able to get. I'm not sure when the offer ends because I never got the email.

I just booked January 24th-30th at POR. How can I get 30% off? I asked the lady on the phone about discounts and she said she didn't know of any but if I find something I could call back and try to get a better rate. Anyone know how I can get the 30% off?? Please help. I'm new to all of this.

From what I remember that 40% off code was a PIN code that someone mistakenly released to the general public. Alot of us called trying to get it and some got it and some didn't. I know I was going down there three times this year during the time the 40% off code was supposed to be good (May, Sept and Dec). Like alot of other people I was calling several times a day trying to get it for any of my trips, but was always told no. I'm glad for the ones that were able to get it, but at the same time was very frustrated when I saw people getting it for the exact same weeks I wanted to get it and couldn't and they were admitting they hadn't received a PIN code either, but had just gotten a helpful CM who overrode the system. Every time I called I was told that the people who had used that code without actually having the PIN in their file would not have the code honored at check in, but of course we all know they did.

My point is if the 40% off PIN comes out this year, I bet they'll be monitoring it more closely and only those with the PIN in their files will be able to get it. I can't see them letting what happened last year with that 40% off code happen again.

Sorry to bump this, but, I am also booked (and paid) for 3/30 thru 4/5 at the Poly and saved about $1,000 (GV room, dining and 6 day PH). Just thought I'd let you know!

Alot of it is luck of the draw on a pin code being sent to your email or home address. Just sign up for as much disney stuff as you can ie free video and see what happens. Some people get them, alot of people don't, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to how disney gives them out. But also subscribe to the thread during your time frame and disboards will let you know when to call for the special deals. They will release them to disney visa card holders and then everyone will know within a couple of days to get on the phones and stay on hold for a while first thing that am. I have been on hold for as long as 1 hr before to save a couple of hundred bucks. If your willing to switch resorts you may have more luck saving $ but I was kind of stuck on the resort I wanted.
