I was one of the people who received the 40% code last year after numerous times of trying to get it. I ended up cancelling and booking free dining as it saved us more money. We had to cancel the trip altogether due to a very sick relative and children's school timing.
It took me over a month to receive the refund from Disney their system had a "glitch" and my check wasn't generated. And I had to go through guest services and a small act of congress to finally get the check. The check was for $600 & should've been for $1891. Needless to say I was told that when I booked again they would make it worth my while.
Luckily I got through to the guest services guy who initially helped me and he is working to get me a discount.. It's upsetting to me that I was able to get such a great discount and then now after I've been promised one I'm having a hard time getting it. He did give me some additional perks and he is an amazing CM but I do think that their hands are tied when it comes to certain issues.
I just hope he can get me the 40%.
