40% off coupon help!

I received a 40% off coupon in the mail today. There are no blackout dates listed, it just states to stay during 2009. I called and the cast member told me my dates were blackout dates and I couldn't use it. Anyone have any tricks up their sleeve to get them to honor the coupon?!

I've never gotten one of these..is it a postcard? Anyway, I am assuming you read every bit of fine print on the coupon, so my only suggestion is to try again. You will get another CM, and maybe they can at least explain to you why there are no blackout dates listed..or maybe they will let you book!

Maybe try posting this on the resorts board--they are experts at codes, etc over there. Good luck!

Most likely, and assuming the OP and bobbieh76 are not referring to the same postcard format - simply because the postcard doesn't refer to blackout dates doesn't mean there aren't any.

If the card said, "... to stay ANY night during 2009", that might be different - but Disney would never send out an offer worded like that, because all promotions are capacity-controlled. If the offer was for any night, then even if the entire property was sold out/oversold on a given night (e.g. Christmas Eve), Disney would still be obligated to honor both the discount and the availability. Not gonna happen

We've received a few of those 40% off postcards. Maybe she meant there were no rooms available? There's a very small block of rooms with the 40% off. We tried to use it during our last trip but every time I called there was hardly anything available, if at all. But lots of rooms still available at rack rate.
