40% Off Code--Room Only or Package?

For those of you who have used your 40% off mailers to book a vacation--are you booking room-only or entire packages?

If you're booking a package, is it 40% off the entire package (including 40% off tickets, dining, whatever) or just 40% off the room and the rest is rack?

Also, if you booked with the Passholders offer, are you required to have an AP at check-in? I'm an active AP holder, but it expires before the possible future trip and the flyer doesn't indicate anything specific about the AP.

I've got a 40%-off Passholders flyer sitting on my desk, but it's just sitting here. I haven't done anything yet. We're going in 2 weeks on the 4/3 deal, so we really hadn't planned another trip this year...but...that 40% off is calling to me. Mickey knows all my weaknesses!

TIA for any info and apologies to everyone who wanted this offer but didn't get one. Believe me, I have no idea why I got the mailing, except that perhaps it was sent to most AP holders.

I started off booking a room-only at 40% off, and planned to buy my AP right before going. But I ended up with a package (10 day park hoppers, deluxe dining...I can upgrade to an AP once I am there if I choose.) It's 40% off of the room ONLY. Tickets and dining are the same prices. I got the Poly for $213 a night, woohoo!

but they will book the package for you also, just no discounts on tickets.

We just got a rate of $372/night at the Poly Lagoon View Club Level.

I just booked a standard room club level package at the contemp tower with base park tickets and the dining package. The CM told me the 40% only will apply to room portion of the bill the rest of the package is as it normally would be.

Gosh though---- $3580 for 4 adults. WOW!! I couldn't pas it up. It is still cheaper then it would have been had we booked a reg room (not in the tower) with the same package. DANGA!!! Paint me there man!!

The CM told me the mailers could be applied to mods, deluxe and deluxe villa packages as well as the values. Woot!!

Now I have to think, think, think. Should I make a ressie? It's so tempting!

I just booked the 40% offer for September at Caribbean Beach-to stay in one of the new pirate rooms. Will that room discount cancel out if I were to book free dining if they offer that in the spring?

Yes, I booked a package. I called in inquiring about a "pin-less flyer" mentioned in another thread here, and I was planning to buy my AP before checking in. So I started off with the room only discount. But when I wanted to add the deluxe dining, the CM said I had to buy at least a one-day ticket. Since I was already going to buy an AP, I said to just make them 10 day tickets, because I could always upgrade to my AP after check-in. My reservation does NOT say Passholder anywhere on it. If you want the three letter code that's on my reservation, shoot me a message. Not sure if having that could help you, but I'll be happy to share it.

Thanks so much for the offer, but I already have a code, since I got a flyer. I guess I'll find out if the AP is necessary at check-in if I call and make a ressie, which I still haven't done. I was hoping to find out the easy way--through someone else's experience!
