40% off and dining

I got the 40% off pin, & we were thinking of NOT doing the dining plan. However, can anyone tell me what the dining plan rates would be if you tacked the plan on to the 40% off room rate? From what I understand, the 40% doesn't apply to the dining plan....I am just trying to figure out if it's better for us to do the plan or not (we did it last year, & found that we got a lot more food than we needed.)

I guess I should clarify....last year when we got the dining plan I used one of the deals advertised on the Disney website, & as a result of booking a magic your way package, it said I got like 30% off the advertised dining plan rate. If I book it now, will I be paying full price for the dining plan?

The dining plans are $39.99 per day for adults and $10.99 per child 2-9 for the regular dining (basic) and $71.99 per day for adults and $20.99 per child 2-9 for the deluxe. Quick service is $29.99 per adult, $8.99 per child 2-9.

THe 40% percent discount applies to Room Only. I just called and booked and was able to add dining plan and still saved $600

lol the dining plan is NEVER discounted. What you read was that you can save up to 30% on your dining by using the dining plan. You still payed $38 for adults and $10 for children per night last year

I got an email and requested a quote got one for room only at POFQ from 11/29 to 12/6 for $704.06. I emailed the TA and asked about adding park tickets and the DP. Received this as part of the reply

You cannot add on tickets or dining with a PIN offer. Tickets cannot be added to a room only reservation even without a PIN. Dining can be added if you are an Annual Pass Holder, but then a PIN offer and an Annual Pass Holder discount are not combineable.


Rerquested asking for a quote at same resort with the quick service DP and a 5day base ticket and got this quote: $2,174.86

Am I doing something wrong?

I called today to Disney with my PIN code and got a price for room, 6 day hopper and QSD. It can be done. Infact the CM asked if I wanted to add it to the room.

Id say using a TA that has NO idea what theyre talking about is the first problem. Lets see what we have here. You CAN add tickets and dining to pin codes, why wouldnt disney want more money. Tickets CAN be added to a room only even without a pin, theyre called KTTW tickets. Either book it yourself or get a differant TA
