no just called and told cm looking for discount and that we were ready to book rooms , he told us to hold on to see what he could do for us, been to disney 3 times ayear for the past 3 years never issued a pin # just always asked for 40% off and got it every time.

Wow, am I reading this right...CRO has/continues to issue you 40% off rack rate just because you ask...and no pin or general public discount codes required?? Do you add tickets or DDP and do they take 40% off that too?

just rooms never asked for anything else friend of mine does the same thing he always gets it he goes about 6times a year he was the one who told me about calling and asking it never hurts to ask i didnt think it would work because it was 4th of july , we always book 8 to 10 months out i use to think that was why it worked, but it seems to work 6 weeks out ,cm sounded like there were a lot of room open

Reading the OP's post here was the catalyst for me to call and do the very same thing. I made my own thread here in this forum regarding my 40% off from a phone call at the GF....maybe I was just too impatient to wait for a PIN to come in the mail/email, so I called...was firm that I wanted a 40% discount for a deluxe room (booked the honeymoon suite at the GF mid-October), after a few minutes of back and forth (reminiscent of buying a car from a dealership ) I got the 40% off the deluxe over the phone.

I would encourage anyone to try this, perhaps it's a situational thing (we are going on our honeymoon), or perhaps it just depends on how much the mouse wants to fill rooms for that particular timeframe.

My normal room rate is $805/night and I ended up getting it for $483/night for a suite on club level at the GF, MK view.

congrads fl framer it does not hurt to call, my rack rate was 525 a night when we first called we were just trying to get chepest room on monarail track poly gv when he said he could give us 40% off and poly room at 270 a night we asked for comtemp mkv
