I have a code that expires today, but it lists dates that are not in the timeframe I can go. (just w/ in 4 days of when we are going) Has anyone tried calling anyway, to see if you can get the discount on dates not listed?

^^^^ Try calling. You might get it for your dates after all. You are lucky you get those 40% off codes. Never got one myself. :sad1:

Well, I never did until I did not go for a couple of years.

^^^ So is that how it works? Visit regularly, then stop for a while and that's the way you get them? :confused3 So many people have tried and tried to break de Pin Code "formula" without any success. There was a poster on another thread who went to WDW with a friend years ago. The friend had died and yet Disney was sending the deceased person a Pin Code to the Disboards poster's address. :sad2:

Anyway, regardless of what the Pin Code "formula" is, do call Disney and ask them to see if your Pin Code can be applied to your dates. You might be pleasantly surprised! :thumbsup2

I feel like the pin code thing is totally random...I was there last year and I got a pin code, so I doubt it's for people who haven't been there in a while. They probably just take every email and address they have and just pick random names and do it that way...I think I just got lucky this year, along with everyone else who got one!

I asked and it was no-go.

I tried tonight and it did not work. :( They said the PIN is only for select dates.

My plans are so screwed up now. I booked a king room w/ the 4/3, thinking I would just switch to 2 beds w/ no problem. I had no idea trying to add a 7 year old to my reservation would not be allowed because the King room only allows 2 people. :( This is like a bad nightmare that I can't seem to get out of.

You just need to call again and get another person. Some are WAY more helpful than others. This should be an easy fix. Keep calling until you get someone willing to help. Then, take their name and email the company telling them how much you appreciate so and so going overboard to help you plan a great Disney vacation. I know there's a thread that has that email link somewhere. :flower3:

There is no way around this. The code works for certain dates. Noone can change it not even guest services. When they punch the code it in will say "not valid for these dates"

I have the 40% off code (9/20-10/2 are my dates) and called trying to push my trip a week or two down the road, so that I would miss the free dining crowds. It was a no-go, as the above poster said, the system wouldn't take my code for that time.

Not likely. The cms can't force something. There are certain dates it is valid for and certain resorts. they can not make something that isn't possible or that will get them fired.

That would be me :) I did get a resolution to that...sort of. But my deceased friend is stuck on my account info and every time disney tries to fix it, it makes me deceased...after talking to guest services , they still stand by and defend their "super secret selection process" whatever the heck that is:confused3

^^^ I'm sorry but every time I read this it cracks me up. :lmao:

^^^ As another poster pointed out in the other thread, the selection proces is so selective that it keeps picking dead people. Yup! Those are some lucky stiffs! :rotfl2:

i had a pin that expired yesterday, just found it in my old e-mail. Think there is any chance of still being able to use?

Unfortunately no. I believe the systems are set up so that it will not accept expired PIN codes. Sorry. Not sure when you are looking to go but maybe free dining might work for you?
