We are taking a 4 year old girl to Disney for the fist time. Now, it just happens that we named her Aurora. She would like to wear a princess dress because we are going to the Cinderella breakfast. ( WE are so lucky1!)
Do you know where to get a sleeping beauty dress? Another thing, Me ,my dad, mom, an sister all want to go on rides which she is too short for. What should we do about that? Thridly, is it okaay to take her to a waterpark?? Will she enjoy it??

Thabks for all your help

Oh your princess is going to have a ball!!!

You can get the princess dress in a few places: Check Walmart / Target in their dressup section. Ebay, or WDW Merchandising (big money though). There are a few costume shops on the internet that may carry them as well.

You can "baby swap" for rides the 4 year old is too short for - just have half the party wait with her while the others ride and then swap. Tell the CMs you wish to do this and they'll help you out.

Waterpark - my 4 year old LOVED Typhoon - definitely take her :)

All I can say about a dress is to try a Disney store. I haven't purchased one myself, so I can't really tell you the best place to try. As for riding the rides, Disney offers a service for people in your situation. They call it either Parent Swap or Child Swap (can't remember which). Different rides handle it differently as to how you need to wait. But basically it lets one parent ride a ride while the other waits with the child that is either too small or doesn't want to ride. As soon as the one parent is finished riding, they wait with the child and the other parent gets to go (without waiting in the line again). Some rides let you wait by the exit while others make everyone wait in line and then seperate at the loading area. The best bet is to ask a cast member when you approach a ride to see what the policy is. If the ride has a fastpass booth, there is generally a CM there or you can find them at the ride entrance. With the water park, it sort of depends on your daughter. I believe all of them have a "kiddie" area (but I'm not sure of any age limits) and a wave pool of some sort. There are a lot of rides she is probably too small for but there are things there for her to enjoy. It sort of depends on if she likes the water and what she likes to do in the water. You might want to check out the different water parks to see what they offer because they are all very different. I hope this stuff helps.

We usually get our girls dresses at Tinkerbelle's Treasures in MK. It's a little pricy but I think the dresses are of better quality. I bought dd Ariel's wedding dress two years ago and it has held up very well. Sometimes I buy them at the DIsney store after Halloween and you can get some good buys there.

My daughter has the Sleeping Beauty dress Target sells for $19.99. I've also seen them at Walmart and Toyrus. She is also 4 and it fits her great. We are going in Aug and we were advised to buy the dresses beforehand-they will be alot cheaper.

Our DD was also 4 on our first trip to WDW and we too were lucky enough to get ressies for CRT. At time time DD was a Cindy nut, so there she was at breakfast with the princesses dressed like her favotire princess. That particular dress was from halloween and purchased at the Disney Store. But we have since added a Sleeping Beauty dress to the collection and we purchased it at Big Lots, I believe for $15 ($20 at most). I have seen them at Target too.

As far as riding rides too old for your DD, you may want to do the parent/child swap for those rides. We didnt use that option, as we stuck with that she could do - but we have heard great things about that option from friends/family.

We havent tried the nthe water parks yet, but from what I have heard and read - there are area's for children to enjoy.

:wave2: Aurora....how cute! I have never ever met someone..or known anyone..(*well besides sleeping beauty herself*) named Aurora. Very cute.

I carbon copy what the others said. I saw sleeping beauty dress at Walmart yesterday. We are going with a group of adults as well. the only child will be our daughter. We will switch on and off, First hubby and I will ride the "adult ride" will grandma and grandpa take Nadia on another kid ride, then grandma and grandpa will ride the adult ride while we take Nadia on a close kids ride.

Have a wonderful trip!

Got all of my 4yr old dd's off ebay. They had some great deals on there and take a look it will give you an idea of how much they cost from the low to the high end. I was able to get a 6 princess aurora with the shoes, want and the movie for $13 ($5 shipping $8 winning bid) Iwashed it and hung it to dry. It looks as good as new and she has watched the movie every week. Plus she loves getting ebay mail, it always has a new dress in it. I was able to get minnie mouse, tinkerbell and cinderella all for about $15 each including shipping into that price. I would rather save the extra money for the Princess Tea party with Aurora at the GF. Good luck with your hunt!

Also, if you can afford it (VERY PRICY - $200), the Perfectly Princess Tea Party at Grand Floridian would be perfect for Aurora as Princess Aurora hosts the tea!! She will also get an Aurora doll, a tiara, and some other trinkets. Mom (or Dad) is included in the price.

I ordered a Rapunzel dress for my niece from this ebay Seller and was quite pleased with the dress (as was my niece).

Thats a great idea!! Aurora would love that!! We'll definitly sign up for it!!

The eBay seller mydressuptrunk has wonderful dresses that are much more comfortable than typical dresses (if you have a child who's sensitive to anything itchy or scratchy). Great prices and outstanding service.
