Hello All!
I was reading one of the postcard threads and I couldn't find anyone who answered this question already. Has anyone won anything using 4x6 inch postcards? The post office here in AK keeps sending my 3x5's back to me. I can't seem to find the right size in the stores, and if I can avoid cutting them down to size, I'm gonna! So are there any winners using 4x6's? Thanks in advance for reading my post! :wizard:

I bought my pack of postcards at sams...5 1/2 x 4 1/4, the post office mails them just fine, nothing come back yet. Too soon to tell if I won, as I just started mailing a couple weeks ago.

The US Postal Service posted that it's minimum postcard size is 3.5" x 5". I used the pre-stamped postcards from the postal service when I was actively entering. We won a couple of lanyards a while back, so they seemed to have worked.

Well I'm frustrated with the post office. I have been getting cards returned, not many but afew. They are the pre stamped ones. Nothing wrong just postmarked and delivered to me instead of IL. It is maddening since there isn't anything wrong and they addressed the correct way!!

I had a couple that way too. It stopped when I rotated the card 90 degrees and wrote my entry information in the middle along the short dimension.

Make sure the "going to" address is larger than the return address. We had problems where I work because the one girl's handwriting was smaller than our return address and the post office said it goes by the bigger writing. :confused3 So maybe try that. ??

Don't worry about it -- use whatever size postcard is economical. People have reported winning with everything from the 3x5 index cards to entries placed inside an envelope for mailing. Also, it really doesn't seem to matter if the information is handwritten or printed w/the computer. My guess is that they get so many entries that there's just no way to police all of them. Now maybe they scrutinize the larger prizes a little better, but so far the only thing that has been reported being won with postcards are the ears and the lanyards.
