4 working days left and still no tickets - VH - update day to go

Well, they are still not here. Lets hope they come tomorrow.

If not, I will be on the phone for the third time and asking for them to be sent by next day courier. We fly on Friday at 6.35am.

Does anyone know how earlier check in opens for a UK internal flight down to LHR. Is it three hours or 2 hours.

I know the Manchester Airport check in opens at 6 am, the same for their help desk opposite check in.

My tickets for the VH holiday bought through TC came on the Wednesday before the flight on the Monday I think.

We got caught with a postal strike the last time. I think we finally got our paperwork two days before we left!

What annoyed me was that the agent could care less! They said "This strike has come at the worst possible time for us." For them!!!! What about my tickets?

I was going down all the "What if..." possibilities and all they could say was "We will cross that bridge when we come to it." After a few days of this I would merrily have tossed them off the ****** bridge!!!

It will work out ok though, but I feel your pain, I really do!

Tickets didn't arrive on Monday, so phoned again. This time got UK. Tickets are now been sent by special delivery to work today, so fingers crossed that they arrive.

Well it's now Tuesday and guess what happened today------------------------ No tickets arrived.

Phoned VH again, oh so sorry they are sat on someone's desk, but will go out today special delivery!!!

Well I explain I'm not at work tomorrow, as last day today. Girl at VH has promised me that they are going out now (11.30am) to home address. She has also given me the track and trace number, but it's not yet showing on Royal Mail, and will need to check later on. (checked at 2.30pm)

The big question is, will the tickets arrive tomorrow or not, will we actually get to LA.

The first lot of tickets still haven't arrived either.

Hubby says the stress is good for me. If it continues, the colour I had put on at the hairdresses will turn grey too!!!

I would have thought the Virgin help desk at the airport would be able to reissure tickets, vouchers but only guessing. I know people have had plane tickets reissued by them, don't know about hotel vouchers, etc.

We travel with VH on Friday 21st. Still no tickets. Booked through an agent, so we're letting them do the legwork. They've called Virgin and told them that the deadline for getting us the tickets is Monday. Surprise surprise they were told that the tickets would be with them Monday morning. I'll believe that when I have the red envelope in my hot sweaty hand.

I'm not going to panic about not having the tickets yet.

Well Wednesday now guess what----------------------------------------

Postie just knocked at the door, with TWO lots of tickets in his hand. I told I loved him soooooo much.


Yehhhhhhhh we have the tickets and will be on our way in the early hours of Friday morning.

Thanks guys for all the support and sharing my stress.


On checking first lot of tickets the iternary was printed on the 11/07 and the tickets for the flight (yes proper old fashioned looking ones) were printed on 05/08. So VH didn't print them until last Wednesday.

Best of luck to everyone else waiting for tickets. I've never had a problem with Virgin before, but we've only ever been to Florida.
