We were able to snag the AP’s last year; won’t be renewing. Disney is getting too costly for us.

BUT, since we have AP’s, would it be excessive to go 4-5 weeks this year? 3 trips at 13/14/5 days? Then skip for 2 years?

staying at bwv the whole time except 4 days at bcv. What do you think? Too much? I’m just getting sick of Disney thinking about it….

This sounds like a dream come true if you're able to take that much time away from other responsibilities. After about a week of vacation though do you start to get the itch to return to your regular routine? If that is the case then 14 days might be a bit of a stretch. Do you also live near WDW?

Spread out the trips, and sounds great to me. August, January, July. Something like that. Totally makes sense to me. Get your money's worth while there still are passes!

I live in Philadelphia……..

yes, I do think passes might disappear for those who don’t renew. That would make the cost of Disney $30-40/day pp if we go enough!

flights are $350pp right now X 4 per trip. Doable.

we went September 25-Oct 9, have a trip planned June 18-July 3 and I just snagged august 26-31.

it just seems excessive….

In 2016 we took a full month for a trans-Pacific cruise. It was our longest vacation ever ... and mostly "out of touch" (long stretches of sea days with limited/expensive internet). We weren't sure how we'd handle being away from "life" (those "other responsibilities" mentioned above) -- but it all went very well. Time flew by ... as it often does when you are removed from the daily grind.

I imagine that a month-long stay at WDW would also fly by quickly. I'm guessing you'll find a rhythm that is different than your typical touring style. You'll try new things on some days and perhaps "nothing" on other days ... maybe more pool time, or gym time ... or evening cooking in the villa! :)

Go for it! We did 30 nights/6 trips in the past 12 months with our family of 5. One 10 night trip and 5 shorter trips. Our family thinks we are nuts but that’s OK. Stayed at different resorts each time to mix it up. Would do it every year if we could. Heading back next week for 10 nights. Bought a fully loaded contract last year so had a lot of extra points that were expiring and unused air credits.

I would just make sure they are spread out. Maybe push back the august to September if possible? Not sure when your AP expires.

I say if you have the time and means, go for it. You could just explore the resorts and do all the other activities instead of parks. Maybe rent a car and do something else in the area or take a day trip to Cape Canaveral, etc.

I did 30 days one year. Two trips with DH and one with DD's family. I mostly went along to watch baby while her parents went on rides. Didn't seem a lot at all.

I usually do two trips. spring and fall for 10 nights each. Last year and 2020, I also added a Dec trip for 5 or 6 nights. I won't be doing that this year as I chose not to pay for the more expensive AP and settled for the Sorcerer's.

Not too much at all! Pre-Covid we went 4 or 5 times per year, and we’ll eventually be going that often again. The nice part about lots of days with an AP is that we don’t feel pressed to squeeze every ride into every park day to get our money’s worth. We can go to the park for just a few hours, relax at the room for a while, then head for a leisurely dinner. Or dawdle over a long lunch in the park, sit and people watch, whatever.

No too long for us.... we go for a week in Jan to escape Ohio weather, 2 weeks in May for the extended family trip, a week in Sept for the low points and then sprinkle in another week where ever it fits. We average about 5 weeks per year.

I think it's a horrible idea!!!!!!!!!!!! (only because I am insanely jealous :-) )

We did this on 2017/18 when we had APs - stayed on property a total of 39 nights! We ended up cruising twice in 2019 and then COVID happened in 2020 so everything seemed fresh and new when we went back in Summer 2021.

Stayed 6 nights at Boardwalk & 8 nights at Poly in late August 2017

Stayed 10 nights at Pop Century in December 2017

Stayed 11 nights at Beach Club and 4 nights at AKL in early August 2018

DO IT! Some of our best memories ever….

We are doing 5 weeks in a row this year! We are travelling from the U.K. and so happy to be (cross fingers) going back. 🥰

I get tired of spending money in Disney by the 6th or 7th day. So for me, it would be too long on the 2 week trips. If that is not a concern and you have plenty to spend, go for it! I'd want to maximize my APs too

We had "extra" points last year due to some cancelled trips so we ended up going four times. April, August, October, and December. I loved it. Most of our trips were just about a week, but the April trip was 9 nights and probably my favorite trip of all last year.

It's a lovely feeling to be there and not feel like you have to hit everything. We definitely worked in a lot of leisure time since we knew we'd be back.

Enjoy!

We have 4 trips this year to Disney properties - 3 at WDW and 1 to Hilton Head. So, no I don't think 4 is excessive. :D :D :D
