4 weeks of Disney in one year?

It is not excessive at all! We've been doing about 12 nights twice a year. In 2024 we hope to start our annual 4-6 weeks trip in the fall. We will maintain our AP's in order to do this. Enjoy!

The only year we had APs we did something similar. Generally we only go every few years with our DVC membership but made 3 trips in 12 months to maximize the days used on the pass.

When we first bought DVC (mid 00s) our contracts came with an excessive amount of developer points. We stayed 3 weeks that June and still managed to get in a week that fall, gift a rental to a friend that winter, traveled again in early March, and rented out remaining points that spring. So our points saw a lot of value.

Our family regularly does 2-4 trips a year of 4-7nights. If you have the points, use them.

Ha! I guess there are some very committed DW ppl on this site!

I priced out the 3rd trip (4 days in park, 2 travel days) with airfare at around $2500 before food/expenses. So total trip expense appx $3,000 to $3,500.

The question is whether it’s worth spending $3k+ for an extra trip with 4 days in the park bc of (essentially) “free” entry into the park bc of our AP?

Although I booked 5 nights std bwv room …. I’m currently erring on the side of no (and funding tennis lessons/clinic/camp for older child or a peloton instead!!). I’m so frugal :)!!
