hi all
my family (hubby, 3 & 4 yr old) is taking a 3 night cruise in mar. we have 1 cat 11 cabin booked. my question is--will we be ready to strangle each other by the end of the cruise?
has anyone else stayed in just one cabin with young kids and can you tell me about the experience?
since it's such a short cruise, i don't want to spend the extra $1200 to get adjoining rooms (we have a land/sea deal)
let me know what you guys think!
thanks

Our family of 4 was fine with one room. Our DSs were 11. We were in a catagory 8 and there was a nice privacy curtain. We weren't in our room enough to drive each other nuts. Basically to change and sleep. You'll find other ways to spend the $1200!

The four of us have went on 3 cruises (a 3, 4 and 7 day) over the past three years in a Cat. 11 and had the times of our lives! You don't spend much time in your cabin really, so much to do on the ship. The layout of the rooms is super considering the space.

This year we are trying a Cat. 10 for the first time which I understand has a little more room. My girls will be 10 this year and we thought it might be nice to have the split bath. But really, we could handle the Cat. 11 again. We like having a 'new' experience on each cruise, and this year is my twins' 10th birthday the second day of the cruise, and they are going to be SO surprised to see our room this time after being in the 11 all the other times.

Anyway, you will have a great time no matter which room you pick!

We were on the 3night Wonder last year and had 1 cabin for myself, DH, DS (4 at time of cruise), and DD (almost 3 at time). It was fine. We really didn't have too much trouble at all. I was pleasantly surprised -- we were able to pack everything into the closet or drawers so there wasn't too much stuff in the way. If your kids are 3 and 4, I'd think you'll be fine. (now, maybe when they are 16 and 17 that'll be a different story -- LOL).

We have 1 cabin for our Magic cruise next May and my kids will be 6 and almost 5 -- I am not too worried about it.

There were four of us in a cat 6 last April. My ds was 9 at the time. No teenie ones.. but I can top that... I traveled with my MIL. :p It was great. We had a wonderful time. An awesome time. In order to go, I'd travel 4 in a cat 11 in a heartbeat.

We stayed in a cat 11 for a 3 day cruise with 2 adults, a 3 1/2 yo, and an 8 month old. We had a double carriage stored in the room along with the crib and all our luggage and we had no trouble with space. You should be fine.

I sure hope they work. We had 2 cat 10's for our last seven day and have booked 2 cat 11's for our next 7 day. One room for my DH and me the other for our four kids. 18, 16, 14, 11 at next cruise time.
On the last cruise the teens kids came in late and slept late.
We found that we just did not use the rooms very much and spent the extra money that larger rooms would have cost on other things. (like bingo):p
I was worried that the kids might really not like each other at the end of the cruise. They kept so busy every day that each night they were fast asleep. They begged for another cruise and when we exlained that we could go again but would be in cat 11's they said OKAY. SO we will see how they get along for the next cruise.
