4 Parks, 2 Days - Yeah, we are crazy

I apologize if this is covered in another post - I searched, but maybe not extensively.

Due to some specific circumstances, I am planning a 2 day trip for most of the rest of my family. I was hoping I could get a knowledge check on my plan form this group.

They are going March 29th & 30th. They are staying off property, so the window for FPs opens Friday. They have 2 Day Park Hoppers.

My thought (as far as parks, plans, etc.) is this -

March 29 - Visit MK at rope drop, go straight to SDMT. Then hit a few of their other favorites (Space, BTMR, PoC) as best they can. For FPs that day, I was planning to book them at AK (hoping to get FOP at least).

March 30 - Visit HS at rope drop to attempt to grab a boarding group for ROTR. For FPs that day, was planning to try and get the other biggies there - Smugglers Run, TSM, SDD, and maybe MMMR).

Between the two days, they would try to grab Epcot and make some time for their favorites there - Soarin & TestTrack).

It's been a couple of years since we have been.

Any better ideas/suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Ages of group? The plan sounds fine with me, although you will be there during F&G at Epcot so you might want to plan some time for the booths or check who is playing on the stage while you will be there.

Good questions - forgot to add that. Mother In Law (71), Wife (45), DD's (18 & 14), Sister in Law (41), Brother in Law (47), Nephews (17 & 11)

And (obviously) Star Wars and Galaxy's Edge are top of the list. And FOP. When we were there last time, couldn't get FPs for it, and didn't wait the 2 hours for it.

If its feasible I would take an attraction with a particularly long wait time and get on line 5 minutes before park close. It is a lot better to wait on line for FOP for 2 hours when the park is closed, and not chew up valuable park time. Of course, you have to forfeit a nighttime show.

Of course, if you have little ones, this may not be feasible.

May also be a good idea for SDMT - kinda cool in the dark/night time.

I would also do my fast passes earlier in the day. After you chew up your 3 at MK say, no reason to not check and see if a FOP one opens up...it does happen. just check often

If it were me, I'd do Rope drop at AK and get burn my 3 FPs and you can get others for later, I'd MK that afternoon. I say that because of the age make up of your family, I'm thinking they aren't probably going to want to spend as much time at MK then a family with younger kids. I'd rope drop HS for a BG for RoTR, get FPs for what you can for that morning, then hop over to Epcot for the afternoon.

It's an aggressive plan, but could be fun. In late March, I will have to say your chances of getting some of the best fast passes are quite slim - especially FOP for a group. But it never hurts to try. Also, keep in mind, if you are fortunate to get a Boarding group for ROTR, your schedule could be at the mercy of when you get your callback. That being said - if you have ventured over to EPCOT at that time, getting back to DHS (if you get called back) is not as difficult - you can walk or boat over - or even take the Skyliner.

Don't forget you might like to eat something too, so maybe an ADR somewhere?! Have fun!

Looking at the FP availability calendar (this is only a snapshot and not meant to be perfect) but on those days there is nothing for FOP, SDD, MFSR, MMRR. There is showing some availability late on the 29 for 7DMT. I would have them RD AK on the 29, do those rides and then head over to MK for the evening since you may be able to score FP there a little easier.

Alternatively, there is EMM at MK on the 29 which can be paid for to allow for Fantasy land rides before the park opens to all guests as well as an after hours event the night of the 30th at MK which again, will allow for only those paid guests access to the park. Can be pricey but worth it if those rides are important.

Keep in mind that SDD, MFSR, MMRR are all Tier 1 so you can only select one of those for FP. Also, with that large of a group, you could break up the FP groups to smaller sizes 4/3, 2/2/3 to look for overlapping FP or just general FP.

My DD and I did 4 parks in 2 days for her bday one year (in August no less!) and we had a blast! Obviously you know you won’t do it all, so just use these great tips and go have a blast! (And count yourself lucky if nobody in your party think their can’t miss attractions include Carousel of Progress and Living with the Land!! LOL)

Hey, we've already waited 40 minutes for Living With The Land!!!
