How did you decide on which to take? We have been on a 7 night cruise before and got kind of bored (RCL) but 4 nights seem like it might fly by too quickly.

Also do they do anything special for a cruise that run during Halloween?

I'd go with the 7 night cruise. 4 night is just too short and we never got bored on the 7 night. There is so much to do, sometimes you can't do everything you wanted to. If you have kids there is no way they will get bored, they have there own club, you'll hardly see them.

If you are going to do it, go with the 7 night. Hopefully you wouldn't regret it.

I think they do something for Halloween, but I don't know what.

The DISers have held their own trick or treat on the past couple Halloween cruises. I think that DCL may have started doing something like this last year. I would also recommend the 7 day. We have been on two cruises with the kids & only went to Palo for the first time last year. I have been to the galley tour but would like to do some of the behind the scenes programs. I figure that it will take several 7 day cruises for us to do everything that is on my to do list. :)

Amyup: Our first DCL Cruise was a 4 night with 3 night WDW package thingy. The minute we stepped on the ship, we all wished we would have done just the 7 day cruise. By the time we got adjusted and our kids bonded with friends, we had to get off the ship. You unpack... then repack. But then again, that was our first cruise. So we were loving every thing about cruising. It was so cool for us. We rebooked onboard. We didn't rebook on our second cruise because I thought our kids would be bored. But that's all they talk about now. Doing it again - go figure!

Did you have kids on your RCL cruise? If so, what were their ages?

Oh 7-night DCL cruise definitely. Never a boring moment for me and my wife. Way too much to do if anything.

We have only been on 7 nighters, but they have never been too long, on the contrary, too too short....We figure in the cost factor, and it just does not seem worth it to fly in, spend a night, etc....for a four nighter or less...
I think it is a decision that works with your situation, and your budget, schedule, etc...But, I wish I could have gone on a 14 nighter, this would not be too short for us...WE LOVE IT!!!! :cheer2:

:goodvibes

DEFINITELY the 7 night... Even the 7 night isn't long enough for us..

My wife and I did the 4 day cruise and found that it was a good length. Not too short and not too long.

A 7 day cruise got way boring and ( although I booked it already for August ), I feel that a 3 day cruise would be too short.

The main reason is that I feel that there isn't enough time to truly enjoy the amenities of the boat itself since we have 1 day at Castaway Cay and 1 day at Nassau.

Yes, we had an 18 month old and a 3 year old. The 3 year old was too shy/timid to want to spend any time at the kid's club. But he will be 6 and our youngest will be 4 so I think they will enjoy the ship now.

I think we're leaning towards the 4 night cruise(we're planning on doing WDW for 7 nights too), we can always book the 7 night cruise on board for the future!

We were just on the 4-Night Wonder and it was awesome! As opposed to the 3-night, you do get one sea day to really enjoy the ship. It's your last day on board, so you really get to relax.

That being said, we have rebooked for a 7-day on that last sea day we had. That will be in 2006 but will probably have to change to 2007 due to money issues. I'm hoping our older son will not be bored on the 7-day, he will be in the Teen Group by then instead of the Lab.

You will truly enjoy whichever choice you make.
