So I have a 4-night Bahama cruise booked for Feb 2019 on the Wonder. I'm not sure if I'm going to go or not, but at least I have a year to decide. If I do go, its very likely it would be a solo trip, as well as my first cruise ever! I obviously want to try all the rotational meals, but also Palo for dinner (I would love brunch too, but there is only one at-sea day, so I'm guessing those reservations will be taken quickly). Is there any way to ensure I get Palo on the day I have a repeated restaurant? You don't know what your rotation is until you check in, right? So I would just have to wait and then hopefully switch on the ship if it doesn't work out right?

Typically, on a 4 night cruise the repeated dining room is on nights 2 & 3. Occasionally it's nights 3 & 4.

That said, even if you're in the same dining room, the menu is different each night. Pirate night will typically be on night 3 (Pirate menu) and the other night you'll have that dining room's Signature menu.

I wouldn't discount getting a brunch reservation. Just keep checking back all the way up until embarkation day.

If that doesn't work, they do hold back reservations for booking onboard. Go to where the Palo dining reservations are being handled on embarkation day and see about getting one (or on the wait list). Where/when this is will be listed in the Navigator you get in the terminal at check in.

For a 4-night cruise or longer, I always book Palo (or Remy) on Pirate night so I don't miss the rotational dining menus. On a 4-night, Pirate night will be your repeat night.

You can also call Disney and request that they set a rotational dinner in a certain way so that Palo will fall in the MDR that you want to miss.

Ok, thanks everyone for all the tips! I think I’ll try for Pirate night, as well as calling Disney. I’m worried about waiting until boarding the ship as I will likely be doing a WDW-Port Canaveral transfer (makes financial sense as I’d be solo, and I don’t want to deal with the WDW-MCO-PC strategy), so may not get there until there’s already a long line.
