4-night Dream...which evening is best for Palo dinner reservation? Preferred time?

Hi everyone,

I'm not even sure if we will be able to snag a Palo dinner reservation, but I'd like to try...

Which night is best? I'm thinking pirate night since we were not huge fans of that menu and we aren't planning on dressing up (we are leaving the kiddos at home this time).

But, I don't want to miss a AP (that was our favorite on our last cruise).

Will the restaurant you dine at for Pirates Night always repeat during a four-night cruise? For example, if we have the rotation that puts us at AP on Pirate Night, would we repeat it on another night?

Pirate night is typically the third night, right?

Does anyone have an ideal time for dinner? I'm guessing sunset would be really pretty.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. We are silver (this is our second cruise), so I understand that we may have to wait until we board to see about a reservation. That's okay, just want to know what would be the best option for us.

Our anniversary is our final night, but we'd really be sad to miss AP, so that's why I'm thinking if pirate night repeats the same restaurant, we'll try for that.

Thanks so much!!!

We like to arrive about 45 minutes before sunset, which is doggedly difficult to do in the dead of winter, but I'm willing to take one for the team and keep trying.

Once you book Palo, simply add on a dining rotation request that you not miss Animator's Palate for the night you are in Palo; a Cast Member or your travel agent can help you pick a rotation and add the request.

We went on a 4 night on the Dream this past November. If nothing has changed since then, the pirate night was on the 3rd night. The dining rotation then was 1223, so we went to Palo on the 3rd night so we could still try all three MDR's (it was our first Disney cruise).

We like to book this for Pirate night for several reasons. 1. You know in advance what night that will be, so you know you will not miss any of the rotational menus if you book this night. 2. Pirate menu is our least favorite menu. 3. We always have late dining, which can make it difficult to get to the start of the Pirate Party and to get a good spot for the fireworks. Consequently, we book Palo, (trying to get the sunset), and are done in plenty of time for the Pirate Party and the Fireworks. Of course we don't cruise in the summer so late sunsets are not a problem for us. Early sunsets are another story.
