Hello fellow cruise-hounds!

We will be on the four night cruise on October 19 and I am wondering if someone who has recently gone (the past few weeks) can give me an idea of what movies might be playing.

Also, we went in October three years ago or so and there were no sea lice when we were there. Were they a problem to those of you who have been in the last couple of weeks?

Final question, my daughter will be 8 on this cruise, which technically puts her in the Lab. She will be really bummed because she is a dress-up princess type and will really want to be in the younger group. Do you think they would allow her to go in there?

Thanks for putting up with all my questions!

Just got back today from vacation. We were on the Wonder 10/5 - 10/9...had a great time and the weather was beautiful.

The movies onboard were: The Lizzie Mcguire Movie, Pirates of the Caribbean, Finding Nemo, Cold Creek Manor, Freaky Friday,Under the Tuscan Sun, Spy Kids 3-D, and Bringing Down the House.

I didn't have any problems with Sea Lice on CC (nor did I hear of any problems) but I overplanned activities that day...parasailing, snorkeling excursion, banana boats so really only relaxed at family beach for a few minutes.

If your daughter likes princesses the Princess Greeting on Monday (Nassau) is a must do...of course the line is somewhat long but it is well organized and you only stand in 1 line to meet and get pictures with 4 princesses.

Any other questions just ask...you will have the time of your life...we had such a great time we rebooked for next Oct. while onboard.

The movies you listed sound great. There are at least two or three we will want to catch. :-)
You said you booked for next October. WHat kind of discounts are they offering for rebooking? THanks!

just went on the 9/28 to 10/2 wonder , we rebooked for next dec and the discount was 10% and $200 onboard credit

jenschaef1: What snorkeling excursion did you do on CC? Did you enjoy the banana boats? We are leaving Thursday for the 3-night Wonder...and I have booked the Seahorse Snorkel Adventure AND the banana boats for my brother and I.

Thanks!

Maybe you can shed some light on this for me.

I've always wondered why people would watch a movie on a cruise when movies are so available in 'normal' life.

Why would you choose to watch movies when you can do that anytime? I would think doing something unique to a cruise would be a more appropriate use of time. Perhaps it has to do with having children...it is free on the cruise...instead of $8 per person on land.

What are your thoughts? Just curious.

Hey Jennifer! Glad to hear you had a WONDERful time! I thought that the SeaHorse Snorkel was a great excursion... (a little expensive... but considering they come in from Atlantis at Nassau to run it.....)

Tinker... If your DD is just turning 8, then you should be able to register her in with the 5-7's She will then be locked in to that age group for the cruise. If you register her in the Lab, so that she could have new experiences, you could accompany her to the Club during play-times for dress-up, etc.... You would not be able to sign her in and leave. (We accompanied DS(5) to an activity with the younger kids.)

I know that girls may be more into the younger dress-up stuff, but after visiting the Lab with his 5-7 age group... DS really loved the LAB! You may want to consider giving that age group a chance??? Check out the recent kids navigators posted on castawayclub.com.

Starmouse... I'm with you! Maybe on the 7-nite cruises.... But on our 4-nite I could not imagine having one moment to see a movie... I did notice that the Buena Vista is a NICE theater!!! DS noticed it and mentioned that we had not gone in there!

Dizney:

Have a great time...the seahorse snorkel was lots of fun... perfect if you have not done a lot of snorkeling before. The reef is only 6 to maybe 15 feet deep. Good for beginners, our DD 12 had a great time (but not good for those under about 8 as the current was a little rough). Please note that if you have been snorkeling many times you might find this less than thrilling. (DH and I are a bit jaded having lived on Guam which has some of the best snorkeling and diving in the world). Don't know if you are signed up for morning or afternoon excursion but if you are going in the morning you will not have time to have your picture taken by ship photographers until after the excursion. So if pictures are important to you the afternoon would be better.

The banana boat rides were great!

Wishing:
Had a great time...can't wait to go back...signed up for the Western Oct 9th 2004:teeth:
