4 Hot Mamas take on the World 9/2011! *UPDATE 8/31* I'm leaving TODAY!!!

What a stunning picture of the castle!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

I love  the funnel cakes!!

Hmm... favorite snack? Well, obviously the Mickey Bar. :thumbsup2

You know .... I totally enjoyed (and didn't share) the Red Bean Ice Cream in China. DH had to chase me down the dining room to get a taste. :lmao: (I told him to get his own or share with the kids.)

But I would totally love to hear some other responses! I'm going to grab my notepad. :p

What is Red Bean Ice Cream?? Describe the taste!

Oh wow, I'm not a good describer! And it's been over a year since I last tasted it....

But there's a CS place in China that has Red Bean Ice Cream. It's actually strawberry-red bean, and it's so yummy!

All I remember is that we got 2 - one for the kids and one for DH and I. And I took one bite and turned away as DH tried to put his spoon in. Then he had to chase me down the dining area before he was able to get a taste.

The kids ate all of theirs, and I ate all of mine - minus the one bite DH stole.

I know I could taste the strawberries, but it had more flavor than like a strawberry ice cream. Mmmmmmmm!

Yes, I would make a horrible food critic. :lmao:

What a stunning shot of the castle!! I can't wait to see it on person!

Hmm favourite snack - have not tasted any yet but am looking forward to getting a cupcake from Starring Rolls and then spending lots of snack credits at Karamelle Kuche!! :cloud9:

I just asked Katie what her favorite would be and she cried ;) - too hard for her to narrow down!

My favorite is the strawberry tart at the French pastry shop. To tell you how good it is - I think that chocolate is the best dessert - and I don't want something healthy like fruit with my dessert - but this tart...oh  it's devine!

Oh can't wait to hear responses! I have no idea what is really available besides Dole Whips that everyone goes crazy for and the popcorn? I'm sure everything is good!!

I've never had a Dole Whip! I'm not a huge fan of pineapple, though.

Oh, that sounds yummy! I'll have to remember to look for it when we visit the WS!

You're a woman after my own heart! I shall be doing the same, LOL!

OK, adding another item to the list of things to try!

Haha I can't wait!! I keep saying that I will happily just stop there for a lengthy period of time! I don't know how I'm going to react when I see all them goodies on display...

Great photo! I love that photo spot, you just can't get a bad shot from that spot.

mmmm Dole Whip, I tried one last summer when DH took the kids back to the WL to swim. Imagine that, time to myself to shop and wander around and eat a Dole Whip in the MK. It was lovely. I think I'll make that a tradition of mine. ;)

Remember how I said getting one of the Starring Rolls cupcakes could be one of the birthday surprises for my mom? When I was telling my sister about it, and showing her pics of the cupcakes on the Disney Food Blog, I mentioned how one of us could run in and grab a cupcake real quick... Heather was all, "Run in?! I don't think so! I'm going to need to spend a LOT of time here!" :rotfl:

That DEFINITELY needs to be a tradition! ;)

Ok, I shouldn't admit this b/c I'm a raw vegan and don't EAT them, but I LOVED the funnel cakes. Had one at Epcot AND finished off Savannah's (I was making up for time lost not eating them for however many years) Now that my dirty secret is out of the bag, I'm most looking forward to a cupcake at Babycakes in DTD! They have vegan and gluten free cupcakes and I'm so excited about it!

Great picture of the castle, I took the same picture when we stopped to get funnel cakes one morning too! :rotfl:

I have too many favorite WDW snacks...popcorn, pretzels, Dole whip, margarita from La Cava in Epcot...ok, that doesn't count as a snack, but I still love it!

While making plans for Part 2 of my trip, I've realized there are quite a few things at WDW I've never done/seen/partaken of!

I've never:

- had a Dole Whip or Turkey Leg
- ridden Astro Orbiter, Stitch's Great Escape, or The Enchanted Tiki Room
- attended MVMCP
- looked for DeVine
- ridden Triceratop Spin or visited The Boneyard
- watched Flights of Wonder (nor do I have any desire to do this, as birds FREAK ME OUT)
- ridden Star Tours, Walt Disney: One Man's Dream, The American Idol Experience, or The Magic of Disney Animation
- been to DTD

I'm sure there's lots more, but those are just the ones I can think of right now!

Ooh I love hearing things that people have not experienced yet. Some of the things on your lists will be the first few things on our list such as having a Dole Whip and visiting DTD.

However, others are things that can be missed and would not upset me too much - Astro Orbitor and Stitch's Great Escape for which I have not read many great reviews!

Btw I am looking forward to Flights of Wonder (birds do not freak me out!) however I am not that keen on bees and after hearing what happens on ITTBAB am not sure how I will react to it - may just FREAK out!! :rotfl:

I have never been to the Boneyard, done One Man's Dream, or done American Idol. I have no desire to check out the Boneyard - but the others I do want to do! I haven't done the laugh Floor at MK. That one is on the list for this summer!

Since I'm not a big fan of pineapple, I'll probably skip the Dole Whip. I'm not a fan of turkey, either... so I don't think I'll be trying a Turkey Leg anytime soon, LOL!

I wouldn't mind Astro Orbiter... well, the ride itself. But I've heard it's very slow loading. DH and the kids have done Stitch but I sat that one out. DH says he won't do it again.

GAH! I can't do the bird show. For ITTBAB, just lean forward in your seat when the bees appear and you'll be fine!

I don't have any desire to visit The Boneyard, either. Maybe when the kids were younger we could have gone, but I didn't know much about it back then.

I'd like to check out The Magic of Disney Animation. I think my girls would really enjoy that, but for some reason we've never done it.

Laugh Floor is pretty good... definitely make a point to see it. Shane even got shown on the screen during the pre-show, LOL!

I've heard that as well.

Thank you for this advice - will definitely be leaning forward. May just end up falling off my seat, lol!! :rotfl2:

I haven't done a lot of those things either. Astro Orbitor is a slow loader, I've heard it's pretty amazing at night though, so I'd ride it at night if I were you so you only have to do it once and get the better experience. That's my plan for this summer if we get the chance to be in the park long enough after dark.

I've put Astro Orbiter on the list of "maybes"... will definitely ride at night, if we decide to do it!
